Hello Respective Local Guides,
We have done our 45th meet-up with 14 local guides and respective moderator @TusharSuradkar - This meet-up was a part of an accessibility and Indoor-Outdoor photo walk on Apte road, Shivaji nagar, Pune. This was my first google local guide meet-up accessibility and extremely curious about the discussion and new things to share as well as upgrading myself. I love reviewing new places and to help our local carts and trying to stand their business in their hard times. I guess this is our right responsibility.
The meet had held by @TusharSuradkar sir and greatly driven by most experienced local guide @AjitThite sir. The place decided as Pune’s beautiful old home styled restaurant as “Green Signal”. For meet-up many of local guides en-routed from various parts of Pune. Thanks to @Rohan10 who all the came from Mumbai for meet-up. It is always fun joining Local Guides in a meet-up. When i mate each one of local guides they were helpful, dedicated, and passionate about what they are doing. As we were all together, the experiences, queries, new features and some unknown interesting stuffs about google map as well as local guide web site we came across. Although we focused overall Local Guides contributions during the meet-up.
The first time we met together and started the meet-up activities with introductions and our meet-up agenda. We had a detailed brief for new Local Guides how we collect information during our meet-up and how we contact the responsive personals.
Simple, Refreshing ambience brought meet-up another level
By keeping in witness of restaurant terrace beauty, we had started for short brief about how we work for mapping accessibility and what all are features actually. Then as a host, @TusharSuradkar sir continued the meet-up and guided others, how the reviews, global team of google helps to collect global data on map from local guide web site and collect mapping information together. He shared that a local guides meet-up not just meet-up but it is a practical training session for a qualitative Local guide journey for us. While discussion with local guides, i had got to know their specialty, purpose and encouragement for moving forward with this local guide community.
After such nourishing knowledge, Literally everyone had likely forgotten their hunger. But delicacy of restaurant saves us. Everyone had enjoyed food and the faces of every local guides were showing as fullfillness of satisfaction.
Now the time had come to disclosed our “Puneri Local guide logo” with some stickers and beautiful momentous brought by @TusharSuradkar sir. The momentous gave us the receipt of keep on good responsibility and step ahead to en-growth the local guide community.

LIVE MAP UPDATE AND PRACTICAL MAPPING-
This feature is very helpful for new Local Guides. Practical mapping ideas and information-collecting techniques are very helpful for them. -
EDIT AND ADD NEW PLACE-
We always check whether business information is wrong or correct. If necessary we make an instant edit and update the map. When we see a new business we submit a request to add this on Google Maps.

- WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBILITY AND VEHICLE PARKING SPACE:
This is our special feature. We check accessible ramps, parking during our meet-ups. After that, we updated this information on Google Maps. We also focused on accessibility photography.
At entrance we found wheelchair accessible ramp and up front to it wheelchair parking during the meet-up

At the end, we local Guides decided to plan further meet-ups. We mate and shared some good bonds and i guess that starts the friendship, and quality guiding ahead !
Without Local Guides Connect, such quality Local Guiding is impossible.
