Hello local Guides
I am super happy to share the recap of my most awaited physical meet up post lockdown.
We had food crawl and map editing in few different locations.
At first we all met at the meet up point on given time.
Where I met @SujataTawde it was really nice to meet her she is new to the local Guides program and had joined to learn more it was her very first meet up.
After that we welcome @Rohan10 and @Shrut19 and @Shreeya_99
It is first meet up for Rohan too and he was very excited to learn more.
As our meet up point was the Growel’s mall we were so amazed with the beautiful decoration there and the numerous activities going on there.
We clicked many pictures and made fun boomerangs with the props.
We had masala chai (tea) and snacks at ladu samrat and went ahead to explore some tacos
It was the firt time we tried Mexican cuisine.
We ordered different food items.
Like crispy taco, Mexican fries, burrito both veg and non veg.
We did some virtual call to connect with fellow local guides who couldn’t join us.
As we started to leave Rohan and Shruti surprised me with beautiful flowers to felicitate on being a Guiding Start 2020
on behalf of the Maharashtra Local Guides community.
I was overwhelmed with Joy it was such a warm gesture I am really grateful.
We moved to Thakur village where one more attendee @AvirajAgarwal joined us
We started with map editing the very first thing we noticed that many businesses had closed down / shifted we first verified if they have been shut or moved to New place after verifying we edited the information regarding permanent closure.
We had a break time again and ate some delicious veg grilled Sandwich and masala grilled Sandwich along with sitaphal (custard apple) milkshake at the Rainbow juice center, the staff was very polite and friendly they provided us great service.
We asked them about the delivery, timing and and other information to see if it is correctly mentioned on maps.
We moved and noticed many of the shop listed there were not on a correct place so we moved the marker.
Updated took photos of store fronts to share the updated look of the shop.
Again we had a halt at brijwasi snack corner where we had sev puri.
As all were running late everyone started leaving.
Whereas I and Aviraj continued to explore the different area to eat.
We visited Thakur village and gave a try to newly opened place call Samos Express, it was not listed on map I have already added it but it is not approved yet.
We had pizza Samosa which consist of normal samosa Filling of smashed potatoes and spices along with a bit of pizza sauce, mixed herbs and chilly flakes, we also ate Sabu dana Vada took photos to update the information on maps.
Meanwhile I also added and fixed some shops which were closed or wrongly placed or had duplicates.
We ended the meet up with chai.
The one thing that I learnt is we must share what we know and guide each other as we all are learning and improving.
Together we can make better impact and help to put up more accurate information.
