Hello LGs,
On September 20, 2024, at 5 p.m. IST, I had the wonderful opportunity to attend a fantastic exhibition of the Pune Pottery Market at The Pavilion Mall in Pune to support local artists.
Since it was a working day, we had a few attendees: @TusharSuradkar , @NERKARAMIT , and @ShubhamWaman .
It was a delightful celebration of the rich heritage and talent of the local artisans. The event provided an opportunity for these skilled craftsmen to showcase their one-of-a-kind creations, which ranged from intricate pottery to vibrant ceramic art.

Photo 02: Artistic display of various products, especially terracotta.
The variety of styles and techniques on display was one of the exhibition’s most striking features. Various artists from across India took part in the exhibition and sale of their works. There was something to suit every taste, whether it was traditional pottery or modern designs. The fine finishes and minute details on the pieces demonstrated the artisans’ commitment to their trade.
Photo 03: We had a brief discussion with artists to understand the process and other details.
Talking with a few of them, we learned about their individual working styles. Most artists had an inclination toward manual labor and designing by hand. The product, especially the terracotta items, has a colorful style because various types of clay from various Indian states were used in their creation. We also had a small video call with our local guides joining virtually. @Supriyadevkar , Mayur, and @Raj_Tayade participated virtually and saw snippets of the display.

Through activities like these, we help to support local artists and promote a vibrant creative community while also aiding in the preservation of traditional skills. It is wonderful opportunity to connect with the people behind the art and learn about their inspiration and processes.
The Pune Pottery Market showcased the talent and hard work of regional artisans with great success. It was a helpful reminder of how crucial it is to support local businesses and protect our cultural legacy.

Following that, we had a delightful little tea and sandwiches at Cafe Deja Vu, a nearby cafe. Along with exchanging some brand-new goodies, we also briefly discussed our plans for future meet-ups. @Shrut19 had joined us here and exchanged her thoughts too.
Photo 06: A nice cozy and trendy view of the Cafe Deja Vu. We were ready to share our goodies with each other.

Here is my review of the cafe.
Photo 08: We found a new storage locker systems at the parking of the Pavillion Mall for the visitors. It is connected with new-edge technology via the internet and is entirely run by the customers. You can open the locker door and put your belongings inside by connecting, scanning the QR code, and providing the requested information. The various shapes of the lockers allow you to put different shapes of luggage.
I hope you all will join our future meet-ups.
