[RECAP] Sri Lanka Accessibility Walk ♿ - June 2019

It was a challenging meet up due to two reasons. The first challenge was when I was about to leave to the meetup site after the office hours I received a call from my wife asking me to take over the baby since my wife had to go out for some other work.
The second and worst case was when I was about to take the car from the office car park, I saw my new car been terribly spoiled by birds and their food wastes on top of it. Thanu, who was with me also saw this incident and was shocked.

Now I had two options, one is to go home and take over the baby, or I have to take the car to the car wash and wax the bird poop off.

As always, I did not give up. Me and @ThanulakshanS , went home, picked the baby and went to the meetup site. This time, I carried the baby to the meetup. Unlike my other meetups, it was a bit fun-filled and different with the baby.

Only myself and Thanu were there. We started walking with the baby, uploaded photos as much as possible and finally, we ended up at burger king. As per the word I have given the baby, I treated with her favorite nuggets for being a good girl throughout the meetup.

Also, we had some snacks too. We could capture an accessibility entrance at Burger King. After this, I took the car to the car wash, gave it a full body clean up and went home with a fun-filled heart.

The lesson to be learned here is, no matter what we Face in life, our passion should not be compromised. In this case, before canceling any meetup, please think several times and find out an easy way to make it happen.

This hoe our meetup went @RadieN . hope you like this recap

Hello @IlankovanT

I enjoyed your Accessibility walk recap alot, because this time you were two senior local guides with a junior and future Srilankan localguide Kimmy

It’s made me happy too that Colombo is best example of Accessibility friendly city as I visited many places there.

Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful recap.

Shukriya  and Nandri

Hi @IlankovanT ,

Thank you very much for letting me know about your recap! Your daughter is so cute, I’m sure that one day she is going to be an outstanding Local Guide who is always willing to help people, just like her father!

It’s great that you didn’t cancel the meet-up and you overcame all the obstacles even though you were a small group. Thank you for the awesome photos! I’m glad that we see more and more accessibility entrances here on Connect.

Keep exploring and having fun!
