Hope you are doing well. Here I’m sharing with you my Map Editing Meetup experience. I hope you like it. Just organized a meetup at bhayander khadi.
the response from fellow local guides was quite good when I first informed them about this meetup. @Shrut19 and I started working on reporting spam on maps after that we got a selfie.
We started the meetup by report fake business which was using keywords as their business name as you can see in the screenshots. SEO in Mumbai was used as the business name which is keyword staffing will help them rank on maps get lead from it which is a wrong way to get business.
I have been seeing and reporting fake business for one year now.
they are under different Catagories like best digital marketing agencies, SEO, website development, graphic designing, online advertising etc are some I tried to report.
hoping every local guide will clean spam listing from maps and will make maps better.
I also have an idea local guides should be appointed for doing regular check and approving right business in the nearby area.
in starting it will be hard but for improving maps in a city like Mumbai 2 local guides per station should be appointed.
