QUESTION: What happens when you intersect Connect Live 2019 attendees who cannot sleep with Clean the World Connect Live 2019 Edition Meetup attendees excited to “Clean the World” but need breakfast first?
ANSWER: You get an impromptu “Powered by Local Guides” Pre-Connect Live 2019 Early AM Coffee Run Meetup that happened at 7 am Tuesday, November 12, 2019!
Generally, when I do a Google search for coffee, I am always looking for coffee places that are owned by locals, to help support small businesses.
I look for places that have an extensive drink menu and can serve vegans. And if needed, I look for coffee places that are convenient to reach, either by walking or the ability to find parking quickly.
Voltaire Coffee House was that place! It is an airy, sunlit place that roasts their coffee beans in-house for their specialty coffee drinks.
Besides making espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, iced coffees, and single pour-overs and cold brews, Voltaire Coffee House also serves light foods, sandwiches, pastries, a variety of hot and iced teas, and hot chocolate. It is a short walk from the San Jose Marriott.
We gathered in front of the San Jose Marriott at 7 am.
For many who attended this meetup, this was their first chance to meet and chat with other Connect Live 2019 attendees in a smaller group setting.
Voltaire Coffee House makes more than your standard “heart” and “leaf” lattes.
They also make cute “animal lattes” and, for many, yummy avocado toast!
While we were drinking our coffee and enjoying our breakfast, we had a chance to get to know each other.
We spent time taking photos and selfies inside and outside.
We spent a great deal of time taking coffee and food photos for Google Maps!
@Nyainurjanah brought from Indonesia a customized acrylic #ConnectLive2019 banner that was handmade by @PaDeSSo
PaDeSSo, thank you so much for creating this acrylic banner (and for the #LocalGuidesCleantheWorld banners). I deeply apologize for taking so long to personally thank you. Your handiwork was a great icebreaker. Many of the Local Guides wanted to take photos holding up your sign.
We practiced taking selfies with it, which warmed us up for the rest of the day and, ultimately, the rest of the week!
I want to thank all of the Connect Live 2019 attendees who attended this impromptu early AM coffee run meetup and for letting me share your photos here in this post.
Stay tuned for long-awaited [Recap] Local Guides Clean the World Connect Live 2019 Edition Meetup. . .
