Our enthusiastic Local guides decided to hit the road again after a long break after pandemic. We had to stay inside for couple of months and finally it is allowed to travel again. We wanted to do something long this time. Together with few of my friends including my local guide buddy @ravindus we were on a four day road trip covering half of the country. On the second day the 26th of July our stop was at Pottuvil Beach which is untouched and amazing. I have invited other local guides who are interested to join with us by Pottuvil Beach Camping Local Guides meetup.
First day was amazing and we had lot of fun enjoying at Ussangoda beach. Then we started rolling towards Pottuvil. On the way we had our lunch and snacks. We didn’t forget to review those local businesses in the map. We were encountered with some wild elephants on the road when we pass by the Lunugamvehera National park. Experiencing the nature was great after long time. However we were bit delayed when we arrive to the Pottuvil Point.
We pitched our tents on a rock near beach and camped there. We enjoyed our dinner around the camp fire while singing songs.
Next morning it was time to observe the area and take pictures. There were many tourists surfing on high waves. Then I draw a picture of the beautiful sunrise there. After having breakfast it was time to roll again to our next destination the Bamabaragala pathana.
Here is the short recap video of the meetup.
