" AccessibleBengal : Guptipara ATM" ; WBLG meetup no. 32 meetup
The “Accessible Meetup” was hosted on 15th December,2020 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. (IST)

During the meetup we visited ATMs 
at Guptipara and we checked following things such as - 1. Checked the ATM had ramp or only stairs

Checked the ATM doors motion sensor enability
-
Checked the height of the ATM
-
Checked the availability of Braille keypads
-
Checked the availability of magnifying glasses for the persons with low vision
-
Checked the availability of handrails at the entrance of the ATM
-
Checked the accessibility for wheelchair users
-
Checked the availability of seating arrangement for special need person in the ATM kiosk
First of all I would like to discuss some basic information before going through the details. We found there were total 5 ATMs at Guptipara main area ( Guptipara degree engineering college area, Guptipara rail station area, Guptipara diploma engineering college area and Guptipara barrobazar and rathsarak area) out of them 1 ATM was closed permanently (Guptipara degree engineering college area) and another SBI ATM was under construction (Guptipara barrobazar and rathsarak area). So I am going to discuss rest of 3 ATMs. We found that, no ATM had motion sensor enability doors, no ATM had Braille keypads , no ATM had magnifying glasses for the persons with low vision, no ATM had handrails at the entrance and last but not the least no ATM had seating arrangement for special need person. Now I would like to discuss the matters in details, we marked the wheelchair icon " " with marking " 
" for PASSED and " 
" for FAILED
