It’s good news for all that we have successfully completed our annual mega meet up to celebrate the “International Day of Persons with Disabilities”. It was a suddenly plan to execute this mega meet up to celebrate the disability day and to gift some wheelchair to some persons with disabilities. We have shared our plan to the higher authority officers of the local Social Service Department of Bangladesh in Khilgaon, Dhaka. they agreed and expressed their interests to stay with us in our meet up event. This time we decided to choose our meet up event place at Press Club, Dhaka and successfully arranged.

We have started our meet up at 11:30am with the discussion about local guides and mapping activities. We gave a clear glimpse of idea about our passionate contributions over the internet with the attendees. First of all thanks to all participants and specially to @ShakilAK for starting the meet up discussion. You have started the event as like the professional mc and that was really amazing. Appreciate your expression and presenting capability in-front of all in the conference room.

It’s my gratitude to all speakers and specially thanks to the social service officer Sharmin Sultana apa for joining us and the Chief Guest Mr. Chitta Ranjan Das, Councilor, Ward No. 5, Dhaka South City Corporation and also thankful to our connect moderator local guide @ShafiulB for giving his valuable discussion about overall local guides activity and his experience for sharing with us. It was a lengthy part for all to understand how to contribute on Google maps to enrich local businesses and how to solve a contribution problem posting on local guides connect forum. Thanks @Jibanbd @SolaimanHossain for supporting always. It was a good team work to make the meet up successful.

Thanks to another legend local guide and Product Expert @AbdullahAM for his joining with us to share his experience about local guiding to help millions of people around the globe. He has been shared how we can help the special cared community to get them access everywhere around the country.

It was a lovely moment to share my experience about this meetup that we gave some wheelchair to the special cared persons who need selected by the department of social service local office in Khilgaon, Dhaka.

I really enjoyed the event moments. Every meetup hosting by Local Guides are unique and good but your presentation is something special for me because mostly they’re about awareness to accessibility.

My first attended Google Supported Meetup in Bangladesh was about Ornaments of Accessibility

It was not only a meetup but also a great opportunity to know more about Local Guiding for me as an fresher Google maps contributer & I learned the way to help wheelchair users through Google maps from here.

After the Meetup till now I try to keep the accessibility assurance check on my contribution of Google maps on top.

I love to give thanks @ShakilAK for helping me to reach the Meetup venue on time not only that he is such a true influencer who appreciate me and support me to do those activities.

Definitely it was a great initiative taken by you. Your place choosing idea was excellent. You could reach more peoples for choosing Press club. For a long time you are working for disables. I personally like that. I could not attend this program for my important class & I feel sorrow for that. I will like if i can hear you are arranging more programs for disables.
