Success of Meetup
Experience of Mumbai’s famous Art festival Name is Kala Ghoda, as mentioned before it’s a multiple cultural activities, Art which made Specially form wasted material.
Free flow of ideas, essence of Art culture…
8 feb 2020 my Meetup day, I am from western Mumbai so I am comfortable to visit Kala Ghoda festival by Western local train ( local public transport)
I reached at Meetup point 5 minutes earlier, then I am waiting for attendees, within half hour my first female attendee Falguni came & greeted me, we discussed and decided to go Festival via BEST (public transport Bus)
then my second attendee** @SUMEET1 **called me & informed that he has already reached at Meetup location to just meet us, but unfortunately the Meet-up point was too crowded because it was Saturday and second last day of Festival, we all have go through the big qu
& Summit had another commitment to his studies, so he left from Meetup, without exploring.
eight LGs shown interest for attending the Meetup but only three attended in reality

** @FalguniP **

** @Shreeya_99 **
@naina she is Shreeya’s friend & she had come to only explore Art festival.
One more friend LG @****Docgaurav

After long time around 2:30 we entered festival, then one more dear female attendee Shreeya come from long distance and entered through long que of opposite Gate, that’s why she reached at 2:30pm then we all started chatting each others, exploring festival fun with lots of photography, selfies.

Virtual Meetup with global Lg’s

& we also connect Virtually with all Indian LG friends & one Uganda’s LG, we enjoyed lot, I ask all attendees to share their own experience, so both female LGs given feedback is here :-

Very energetic

‌ Falguni Paleja

When I heard the Meet up was going to happen at the Kala Ghoda Art festival i was eager to vist since it is most iconic event in Mumbai and every year they have different themes which are marvelous.
It was the first meet up which I was going to attend, I was excited and nervous at the same time, our meet up point was Churchgate railway station, where our host** @Shrut19 **had reach early and was waiting for the attendees, we greeted each other followed by an introduction, we got friendly quite soon, we coordinated with other attendees and reached the venue via public transport Bus. (BEST
As we entered the festival we clicked pictures at the entrance, took selfies, read the different discription given to different art work present at the venue.
There was many different types of art work made with waste materials, each art work had a social message.
My most favourite was the postcard hanging on the banyan tree, which were made by school kids, each and every postcard had a social message like “SAVE GIRL CHILD”
“CLEAN MUMBAI GREEN MUMBAI”
“RECYCLE REUSE” some postcards had drawings of Lord Ganesha and shivaji maharaj.
Apart from that my other favourite art work was by UBER CONNECT - “O UMBILICAL THREAD” a womb and a baby made of thread was kept showcasing the most strongest thread in the world is the “Umbilical Cord”
A cord that connects two souls, just like the bond we have with our mother and feel the warmth and connection with her same is our bond with our mother nature. The different colours of thread used depicted the different levels of our life.

UBER CONNECT - “O UMBILICAL THREAD”

I also discovered many stalls by NGO’s from around the country selling handicrafts and products made by women’s of remote or village area, specially abled people, some were by the forest department, flood management department.
We also connected to LGs of different parts of India and showed them the fest via video conferencing, it was great to interact with them.
After that we went near the Jahangir Art gallery, where on the footpath there was an art sale, many artists were selling their art work, there were artist sketching potrait live, it was amazing to see that.
We left the venue around 6:30-6:45 pm took a bus upto Churchgate station had some snacks and tea, took a train back to home and reached home around 9pm
It was a wonderful day spent

Overall I learnt a lot and was amazed with the different creativity shown and social message given by the arist.
Would love to visit next year too.
I would like to Thank @Shrut19 di for hosting this wonderful Meet Up.

Very bubbly noughty

‌Shreeya -

This festival have a special place in my heart as there are lot of memories linked to it. When i heard about the Mumbai local guides meetup happening to this festival i was thrilled. As it would just add up more memories from such a great event.
This art festival always brings up the whole mumbai together  no matter of what age you are it would definitely impress you by its charm :sparkles:

As a host @Shrut19 it didn’t change our bond we were good friends and that’s what made the meetup more friendly and enjoyable. We roamed around the whole area to click amazing pictures and photos of the installations made by the students and many different group of peoples. As i reached a bit late to the venue due to local trains issue our host didn’t hesitate to welcome me. It was very sweet of her to let me explore the place according to my way instead of forcing to follow a route. She genuinely guided me the spots which were very interesting and must watch. I loved the whole day of being a part of this meetup and take home so many more memories.

The stalls also had amazing stuffs made by group of people who couldn’t showcase their talent. The best thing i observed was the massage given by the physically challenged people that moment was so heart-touching. They literally were enjoying serving the people and it was well supported by the public which helped them to raise funds whole heartedly :cherry_blossom:
There were many cute little stalls with many clothing lines for small children, women, woven sarees, dupattas etc. made out of linen cotton khadi materials which were produced by the socially backward class women.
The most attracted spot was “THE ENRICH SALON” :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

They had cute words woven around which said "LOVE BEGINS WITH YOU" that really enlightened my mind as in our day to day activities and being in such a competitve world we just forget to love ourself. They had a small competition of giving away a free makeup trial, free blowdry and a fresh free manicure (that’s the reason for a rush on that spot  )
So many things going on it’s really difficult to mention about the greatness of this art festival. Make sure to visit it once in a lifetime cause you can’t just experience through our words
It was splendid a great day…

That’s it…

Please share your feedback to this post, I hope you guys enjoy our experience…

Thanks in advance…
