[RECAP] National Pie Festival 2023 Meetup. I have participated in several meetups over the past few years, especially for accessibility mapping, identification and creating awareness about equal rights for the disabled community in Bangladesh.
Last January 21, we called a meet-up around Bangladesh National Pitha Festival 2023 organized at Shilpakala Academy in Segunbagicha, Dhaka and 4 local guides from Dhaka attended. It was a winter afternoon in Dhaka and the day was beautiful in the humid weather. In pitha mela, pitha shops were set up from all sections of Bangladesh and famous pithas of all districts of Bangladesh were sold in this mela. Here are some pitha samples and flavors:-

There were many such shops and we started our day by checking out the accessibility facilities at Shilpakala Academy. It was a multi-facility institution. During our meetup a play was presented on the stage. In the play, the current situation in Bangladesh, âTension about the emotional dilemma of the peopleâ was presented through the play. The most interesting thing here is that one of our local guides, Sulaiman Bhai, played the role of an âuncleâ in this drama.

We were checking accessibility and collecting data to update information on the places we visited. We specifically checked accessible ramps, parking, lifts, kids zone, hours, a business contact number, etc. We also updated the business information collected during the meet-up. Some happy moments captured on camera

It was a great time to share previous experiences with fellow local guides during a meet-up and have a pie together with the local guides. During the meet-up we all had a lot of fun mapping and eating pies together. Some special moments with fellow local guides. We have collected many pictures, selfies and memories for our future inspiration.

Some edit status during meet-up
We found an accessible ramp, parking and elevator and added this information to the map. I think every local guide meetup is a bridge to share knowledge and make new friends.
Many thanks to @ShafiulB brother who joined us there for organizing such a meetup for me. Many thanks to our brother @SolaimanHossain giving us the opportunity to see the entire Shilpakala Academy buildings and theaters and for presenting an educational drama to convey entertainment and educational message to us. Thank you so much for your joining brother @ShahriarAzadEvan . I can learn new things from you. Thank you.
