On 11th March, I had the pleasure of attending a food crawl meet-uphosted by @Smita_Patil at Phadke Road, Dombivali. It was a great opportunity to explore the city’s culinary scene. We started the meet-up at a small local restaurant called Remane Upahar Gruha, near Dombivli station, which is famous for Maharashtrian Food. We were served delicious Misal Paav, Sabudana Khichdi, and Thalipith. The food was amazing and we enjoyed the flavors and tastes. I enjoyed Smita’s son’s company very much and her husband’s. Smita told me that this is Women run business in the area. We then met the Women owner Mrs. Manali Remane and we told her about this Food Crawl meet-up and got her permission to post photos on connect.

We then moved to the next food vendor, Deepak snack corner, where we enjoyed Upvas Kachori and Upvas Thalipith. The Kachor was served with a variety of chutneys and sauces, which was a great accompaniment to the snacks. I had never tried such a Kachori till date. I am amazed to had this ultimate Kachori.
The next stop was at a popular Thakur Vadapav and Snacks Corner. We had a great taste Vada Pav with garnished items that added a lots of yummy crunch and flavors.
I was almost full, but still I did not want to miss the famous misal pav at Hotel Ballaleshwar. The misal pav, which was served with sprout curry topped with onion. tomatoes and farsan (fried savory mixture). It was ultimate in taste. The ambiance was great and seating arrangement was very nice. We all enjoyed the food and the restaurant’s hospitality. Finally, we ended our food crawl.
During our waiting period while opening of Remane Upahar Gruha, we utilised our time in contribution to maps. So we did contributed to Suggest Edits about wrong translation of names in Marathi which is my favourite. As Smita mentioned in her post about her edits, I did 8 edits out of which 7 edits are approved instantly. I also did the location edit of Remane Upahar Gruha but anyhow it was not got verified and not approved.
