Native name:‘Oloonong’ot’ means ‘the mountain of many spurs or steep ridges’; is located within Naivasha town in Nakuru county, Kenya. The Mountain is an attraction to local hikers and tourist attraction sites.
We did a geo hike to the top of the Mountain(3.1km) and round the crater(7.2km). During the hike we enjoyed amazing views of the low lands adjacent to it , we were 5 local guides in total; a lady and 4 gentlemen:(local guides from Nairobi, Kisumu and Nakuru) .

We met in Buffalo Mall in Naivasha at 11:30am then left for the walk at 12:00pm… We did mountain climbing, nature trailing as we took several amazing pictures throughout our hike, we then ended our walk at 5:30pm on bottom of the Mountain as the local guides dispatched to their respective destination Here is the link to google photos Shared Album - plus a Recap Video of the geo walk.

Had a great time at this geowalk, took us about an hour and a half to get up to the top. The view’s from up there are priceless. Thanks for arranging the walk @questkv . I am definitely feeling the toll on my legs after the walk…it was worth it.

@Meidimi This was one of the toughest Geo walk I have attended but it was fun especially due to the fact you guys were part of it, being outdoors for better part of the afternoon does not come that easy. Our legs are recovery from the toll of the hike.

A good recap @questkv the hike was exhausting but enjoyable, I really enjoyed the view of the ridges from the top of the mountain including a view of Hell’s gate from a distance. I am looking forward to collaborating in many walks just as we have done before.
