[RECAP] Montana trivia quiz meetup - The big sky state!!!

The 2nd State challenge trivia quiz meetup was held on June 27th. It will be repeated weekly going forward. This meetup was focused on the state of MONTANA.

@Erna_LaBeau is now crowned Queen of MONTANA for the week!!! The 2nd @JordanSB and 3rd @DurojaiyeOlatunde place winners were appointed to the court of MONTANA.

Unique happenings from this week’s trivia quiz?

  • @Kashifmisidia has been awarded honorable mention due to exceptional preparation!!! Unfortunately, he arrived late and was unable to participate. Kashif came prepared for the trivia quiz with pages of notes and deserves recognition!
  • @JordanSBwas fact-checked for the number of square miles of beautiful scenery in Glacier National Park! What?!? The real answer is 1583 and NOT 16,000 :slightly_smiling_face:
  • @Erna_LaBeau joined from her camper van in Michigan which we got to see a quick tour of.
  • @DurojaiyeOlatunde participated in the dark at 3:00 am and typing was tough!
  • @Kwiksatik became muted for a period of time. It took us a while to figure out this had happened. It was really fun watching her mouth move with no sound. What?!?
  • @Denise_Barlock had to host from a truck stop because the internet was so poor at the RV park! Here’s an ongoing Google Map’s list of where she’s hosting the meetups as she travels - https://goo.gl/maps/S6vYmvopAtfo213p6

The format of the State weekly meetup was a trivia quiz based on the information in the articles submitted during the past week about the state of MONTANA

  • A study guide was provided the day before the trivia quiz meetup
  • The quiz questions were categorized and given point values
  • All questions were both spoken and typed in the chat
  • The answers by the attendees were provided in the chat window
  • The first three correct answers received points based on the gameboard below
  • After the first question, the first person with the correct answer picked the next question by category and point value

Here is the trivia quiz gameboard along with the questions/answers for each category and point value.

Congratulations for the second successful Trivia meet-up. It could be great fun if I came earlier. But besides the competition, I want to admit that during preparation for this meet-up, I got new knowledge, As I read, my interest grew more to know about a new state for me in US. Facts about Ele, deers, snowflake, about huge area of Montana was really interesting. And now this knowledge will remain forever with me. That is the great benefit to participate in quiz/trivia meet-ups and that’s why I desperate too much for Quiz and Trivia Meet-ups.

Now waiting for your 4th of July Quiz on 11th July. And will do preparation again to gain more knowledge about USA and will try to join earlier.

Thanks @Denise_Barlock & @Kwiksatik for hosting such a great meet-up.

Shukriya

@AlexandreCampbell We would LOVE for you to join us! It’s not required that you have ever visited the state we have the meetup for. Our goal is to share information about each state to educate everyone on how every state has something to offer for visitors… and to have fun! :slightly_smiling_face:
