On 11th April 2021, I hosted a Google Local Guides meetup in Melbourne Australia.
We explored Booran Reserve, Glen Eira’s award-winning park, relaxing on the grass, appreciating the unique sculptures and fountains.
And enjoyed lunch at Hendricks Burgers & Salad
After lunch I taught the group how they can help the community by contributing to Google Local Guides, as well as how to take 360-degree photos with just a phone and the streetview app!
I read this in your ‘voice’ and laughed all through. they are lucky they got to spend time with you. I am happy to see Christine in a photo too. @MaxPlusFood
Looks like I missed a good one @MaxPlusFood . Lunch at Hendrick’s looks fantastic…photosphere lesson looked like fun and the photosphere hack is magic…It looks like it was cold but this meant that you had Booran Reserves all to yourselves…the flying fox looked like fun…oh I’m so sad, I missed it all
The meetup was a lot of fun @MaxPlusFood it was a bit touch and go with the weather but everything worked out nicely in the end. Watching everyone doing their 360’s was like watching a dance troupe performing a ballet of sorts.
Booran Reserve is quite amazing and shows a great example of a utility and a local government authority working together to make a space for the people out of former infrastructure.
