[RECAP] Meetup and Sharing Session Kediri Local Guides

Hi friends!

Yay! Finally i had chance to organize meet-up with Kediri Local Guides. This event join force with Top Contributor program, I packed this event into an experience sharing event. There are 53 registrants and 69,8% of them know about Local Guides. So exciting!

Alhamdulillah, yesterday (21 January 2018), this event went smoothly and well organized. 22 people come to this event. I invited mbak @NunungAfuah , one of the participants of LOCAL GUIDES SUMMIT 2017 to share her experience of being Local Guides and when summit in USA last year. Thank you mbak! :smiley:

The event was held at Dleon Café, Tulungrejo, Pare, Kediri from 13.30 to 15.30. Because it is a sharing experience in participating Google’s program, I devide the task. I as a Level 7 Local Guides just explained a little about the local guides program, I talked more about the Google Top Contributor Program. I introduce a top contributor program that I have been following for 3 years. I also share my experience when help Google users, attended several regional meetups and Top Contributor Summit in San Francisco in 2015.

Mbak @NunungAfuah explains more detail about the local guides program and her experience as a Local Guides. Particularly when following the Local Guides Summit 2017 in San Francisco in October 2017. In addition participants also directly practice how to do a review on Google Maps and join the Local Guides, assisted by Kediri Local Guides Community, Thanks to Mas @nekodemana and Mas @Henua aditya has been sharing and helping to practice how to review a place on Google Maps.

The event is fun and lots of questions from the participants. After the practice and QA session, I ended the event by giving a gift to participants who have posted a photo with hashtag #tckediri #lgkediri on instagram. After that, we can not miss the moment, so we made a lot of pictures together.

thanks for the very wonderful recap @RiaLyzara . It is clear that meet up with totally new people who do not know about Local Guides or Top Contributor is really challenging. However, with this event we are a litle bit closer to find any ideas for introducing the programs to the society. Overall, it was a pleasure to join your meet up. Thanks for hosting :yellow_heart:
