[RECAP] Meet Up Nusantara 2017: the biggest Indonesia local guides meet up!

Hallo Local Guides all around!

Based on my previous post about Huge Indonesian Local Guides Meet Up is Coming, finally I can recap the 3 days and 2 nights meet up hosted by Batu Local Guides that owned by @br14n , on this August, 4th , 5th and 6th 2017. Yep! we hold the biggest and the longest event ever in Indonesia! almost more than 100 local guides came and joined all the 3D2N event. Here the details:

Day 1

We started by doing city tour to Omah Munir, the first human rights museum in Indonesia located in Batu. After Jumah prayer for muslim, we did Geowalk to Coban Talun Waterfall.

The weather were so cold and we could see fog everywhere. Most of local guides brought their own jacket to see the beauty of the waterfall. However, not all of Local Guides went down to see the waterfall due to the low temperature, Coban Talun was still amazing!

After doing fun geowalk, we did “suddenly foodcrawl” of one favorite meat ball in Batu in the middle of foggy forest. It was not only about eating meatball, many local guides who love doing food photography used this moment for fulfilling their passion. Happiness shown on their faces!

Being full of meat ball in our tummy (LOL), we continued to go to SMA Selamat Pagi, a unique school that help kids in need for free. In the night, we got surprised from the performance of the students of SMA Selamat Pagi. That was very amazing show!

Day 2.

In the early of the morning, we woke up and went to Mount Banyak, for doing geowalk. Amateur video from @MasDinnu about this Gunung Banyak Geowalk will give you the details.

Then, we continued to do casual talk show in the town hall Graha Pancasila about Local Guides in every community and the preparation of Local Guides Summit.

Being enough doing discussion, we continued to do photowalk and foodcrawl in the nearby places of Batu City Hall, Among Tani. We came to Batu City Park.

We also did fun games by using hashtag #photowalknusantara1, #meetupnusantara and #localguides. The team gave the parcel for those who uploaded the interesting photo in their own social media. here the winners!

In the night, a stakeholders of the city and the mayor of Batu city officially opened Meet Up Nusantarara, then Indonesia local guides saw the performance that was very amazing presented by Batu City

Day 3

We had morning fun by joining “Car Free Day”” in Batu town square with the beautiful and talented DJ Neva Eva.

Are you tired of reading this? hohoho. The happiness is still on going. We had a discussion about being a good local guides by giving a good review and giving appropriate photos. The discussion had something in common; we wanted to be a good local guide wherever we go!

Being serious doing discussion, a team from Apple Sun Learning Center gave us the good vibes for joining their games! it was an amazing time we have after joining a lot of activities from the beginning.

Then closing ceremony of Meet Up Nusantara by vice mayor of Batu City, Punjul Santoso. To our surprise, the vice mayor gave us free ticket to enter the biggest transportation museum in South East Asia! Museum Angkut, in Batu.

Overall, here the amateur videos made by Local guides:
