[RECAP] Meet-up: BBQ & More.

To start with, it was my first meet-up hosting; meanwhile, it was the 81th meet-up of Bangladesh Local Guides. After organizing my first meet-up,
I’m really eagerly waiting to arrange another one now. It was such a wonderful experience for me. However, I would say, with the help of beloved @MahabubMunna I was able to organize this meet-up immaculately. Therefore, many thanks goes to this guy explicitly.

Now, to elaborate about this occasion, we covered this meet-up by following these mentioned points below:

  1. Self Introduction
  2. Group Discussion
  3. Who am I?
  4. Eat & Feed

1. Self Introduction

At first, all the Local Guides gave their self introduction; we shared our interest, name of favorite movies and books or even songs. It was more like an ice-breaking session; which helped everyone to be more friendly and approachable.

2. Group Discussion
In this part of the meet-up all the Local Guides shared their

personal experiences; additionally, shared a few number of tips to write proper reviews and to take the perfect pictures. Moreover, the Local Guides talked about the advantages quality of 360 photos or videos. Furthermore, how to report spammers or the irrelevant photos; also been covered in this section.

3. Who am I?

By asking only five questions the Local Guides had to guess their identity. It was really fun and hard, at a time. Some didn’t even need to ask all five questions, they could already guess their identity after getting two or three answers. On the other hand, some really struggled. It was quite fun and informative for the junior Local Guides.

4. Eat & Feed

After finishing all these activities, we concluded our meet-up via a BBQ party. Well, to be frank, all the Local Guides agreed that the 4th part i.e. Eat & Feed was the best part of this meet-up. haha

Great that you’re having these meetups and well done for your first one @asifMojtoba - it looks like fun.

Be careful using the Google branding - make sure you comply with the guidelines and there are some specific guidelines for Local Guides branding.

Hi @HeyJoe if you got them from Google that’s fine. I’ve handed out the ones I got from the Summit too - I even bought some to give away from the store.

Just need to be careful if you make your own. I remembered that there was a logo that we could use and there is supported material on the Meetup site which are ok to use on this page https://maps.google.com/localguides/meetup/how-to
