Our scheduled Calgary meetup was took place yesterday and it was a great meeting. Everyone who didn’t know what the Local Guides Community is about learned so much about it.

They were shown how to signup as a Local Guide on the Google Maps App and also how to contribute effectively. We were also happy to celebrate with one of us who will be joining the rest of the global team at the Connect Live later in the year. The participants were well informed of the How-Tos of the Local Guide Community. We look forward to more of such meet-ups.

Is that Ann (CL 19) and how many LGs attended the meetupm

@EmekaUlor thanks for your comment. There were total of 7 new and existing LGs that showed up out of the 32 people who signed up. You were asking about Ann? There was no one with that name during the meetup.

We won’t stop, this is just the beginning. We will keep encouraging others to join the train.

@opeyemisnr what’s the name of the Connect Live Attendee? I thought it was Ann (who I know is a fellow attendee from Calgary).

You can also write their names and tag them in your post so we meet them.

Thanks for hosting the event Kay! It was nice to meet Local Guides in Calgary. I was feeling a little lonely doing this myself =D You are doing great work for the Google Maps community in Calgary!

@EmekaUlor thank you. @Oscar_Kwok was the only actively registered Local Guide there. The others got to sign up and will be climbing the ranks.
