We hosted another accessibility campaign in our hometown Cumilla, Bangladesh. It is about Map Accessibility Cumilla -2 which was a part of our Map Accessibility Meet-Up series in Bangladesh. The day was a great one for us who joined that day. Everyone was so proud to join When it was a matter for Social development and Disability right.
In a developing Country, we are a little left then the other developed country. Where our society has so many barriers to social development, equal right, and inclusiveness.
But we have to do and continue our activities to initiate the right of Person with Disability. By following Local guides Accessibility feature we are trying to make aware everyone to free their (PWD) social abstractions. Besides Organizations and Government, we can make it as a good citizen too.
During the Map Accessibility Cumilla Walk, we have seen many places where no minimum accessibility facility for the disabled. Then we had a short brief explanation about our Disability laws and facilities. We also appreciated where we got Accessible entrance, ramps, and other walkways. We added the Wheelchair Accessibility sign where found the ramp and accessible walkway. We also encouraged authorities to add other disable facilities like Voice command, brail signs on their entries. Here is our Recap video for my fellows -
The things I wanted to share that we have to encourage the young generation and Students to work with this matter. During the Accessibility campaign, we also talked with some college students to inspired about disabled right in our country. They were so happy and interested to work for disability rights and citizen facilities likewise.
We updated Maps information and took photos and wrote reviews by collecting information. We took group photos and filmed our activities during the campaign. We had some local popular snacks together with our fellow Local Guides.
