[Recap] Malaysia Local Guides Year End Holidays Photowalk and Accessibility Meet

It’s that time of the year again. As dull as it was throughout the last many months, hopeful lights have begun to light up. In this time, we feel thankful that most of us are still here as the scourge of the pandemic recedes. And we celebrate our happiness with hope as we turn over into the new year. It’s a time that we get to come together (with a lot of social distancing and preventive care protection), to feel hopeful again. Malaysia Local Guides arranged a meet-up to capture hopeful photos like the one you see above, at the Pavilion Mall, in the heart of Kuala Lumpur (https://g.page/pavilionmall-kuala-lumpur?share ).

2-min summary video above, fully shot by myself, TLDR, just sit and watch and enjoy the hope that we all feel towards the beginning of next year. Happy footage.

[Picture above] - Malls are back with a vengeance, and outdoing decorations this year end holiday season. It is a real welcomed treat for all of us. Standing here in awe, made me feel like transported a a place and time far away.

[Picture above] - The magical crystal fountain towards the evening before the lights came on.

[Picture above] - A most responsible mall, with big wide entrances, crowd management, full mandatory contact tracing with temperature scanning enforced. And every single person must wear a mask to get entrance to the mall, and must keep their mask on all the time.

[Picture above] - Throughout the 2 hours+, I was continually shooting photos and videos of store fronts, accessibility features, decorations and more. Just a quick stop by to shoot a reflection of myself on a golden trinket on a Christmas tree.

[Picture above] - As the evening went on, the sun went down, and the lights came on. A magical feeling began to rise, feeling like I am part of a magical land.

[Picture above] - A very apt t-shirt, sharing Freedom. Just me, I had wished more community members would have joined me, but sometimes, even if we are alone, we still go ahead with a planned meet, because what we do is important for others, especially people with special accessibility needs.

Towards the last 2 weeks of the year, I take the opportunity to wish everyone a most blessed holiday season, Christmas, and new year 2021. May we find our health and happiness this coming year. And soon, fingers crossed, I will be able to stretch my wings and come to everywhere and meet everyone again! Until then.

*All photos and videos are self captured.
