[Recap] Malaysia Local Guides - Kampung Baru Walk in Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia Local Guides visit Kampung Baru in Kuala Lumpur.

It was another very meaningful meet up on the 11th of August 2018. A few members of the Malaysia Local Guides explore team organized a walking tour of the Kampung Baru area in the heart of Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. Kampung Baru which is loosely translated as “new village” is the traditional original Malay ethnic and cultural enclave and it’s located right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Even so, many of us in the group have yet to set foot in the area, so it was truly meaningful for many of us who participated to visit the center of Malay culture for our very first time.

We had met up in Quill City mall as it is a good spot to start our 2.5km walk. Today we had 5 of us joining. One of our main objective was to try the famous traditional Nasi Lemak in Kampung Baru.
We visited 3 of the main Nasi Lemak joints in Kampung Baru and sampled the Nasi Lemak there. There is business rivalry between them. We got to decide which we like best.

@OmerAli The same 360 camera that @Haseeb is using. The Xiaomi MiSphere 360 camera.

This footage is shot using the MiSphere and the selfie stick in 4K. The camera has in-built 6-axis digital stabilization.

Wow. Impressed .

I bought a ricoh theta s last month and was not happy with its quality .I believe it had some issues as I got dark haze in every picture. Also, can’t think about walking and shooting from that thing either

I am going to buy Madventure now which is I believe International version of Xiaomi MiSphere

@OmerAli Theta S is good for photos, video probably not so much. However the Theta V is quite good.

If you want to shoot great videos, some of the other options would be the GoPro Fusion, Rylo Cam, Yi360 Cam, Insta360 One, and also the MiSphere.

The MAdventture has the same hardware as the MiSphere, and share the same firmware. Both are almost 2 years old now. There hopefully should be a new version out soon. If you are keen on this, maybe you can wait for a few months
