Madulsima is becoming a famous place for camping these days. This place is discovered recently as a tourism destination and I thought to host a meet-up here to get more pictures for Google Map. So I have planned this meetup and @IsurangaD joined me, after my tribal Mapping meetup, started to travel to this place. I heard that this place is always foggy and the climate is so cool.
As a nature lover, I love exploring this kind of adventure and prepared myself for the meet-up. The only one thing we have to consider when we go up countries in Sri Lanka, leeches!!
So we both reached Madulsima and due to a landslide we couldn’t go to the actual point which we have planned earlier but we have seen a lot of nice scenery views and taken photos and videos too. I really admired Mother Nature especially the tea estates through the fog.
When you see a climate that is cold with fog definitely you will like to take pictures and we did that too. I would recommend this place for people to visit for relaxing and if you are a nature lover this is one of your spots to see. There are many mountain ranges with greeneries which will make you calmer.
I got bitten by leeches two times even while I was wearing shoes. It’s a common thing happening in these types of places in Sri Lanka.
Before going to this meet-up I have obtained approval from civil aviation authority of Sri Lanka to fly a drone in this place. When I see that fog I thought not to fly but I did it. The videos and photos from drone came really good. Please check the below video and you can feel how it will be.
To this meet-up, we had 400 km of the road trip and be stopped in many places and taken beautiful scenery shots from my cameras.
I would recommend you all to visit this place and if you’re coming by your vehicle make sure that your vehicle can go through a damaged road. You will struggle to reach the destination but after reaching you will enjoy nature. This place is isolated from the city and there are no restaurants and hotels. Make sure to bring some food if you’re going to make camping here.
We had the best experience through this meetup and thank you Isuranga for joining me. More photos please check this album
@IlankovanT My god, stunning photos, awesome video, beautiful place and nice meet-up. I would love to visit this place someday. Thank you for sharing this amazing recap with us.
The nature is gorgeous and, as you already know, I love the water, is every form, apart of rain and hail. Lakes, rivers, snow, sea, and natural lagoon are always fascinating me.
You know, Italians says that I live in the area of fog, and they are right.
Your photo from the drone are stunning. Good that you highlighted here that you got the permission, before to flight. Many people is not aware of this, and they use the drones everywhere.
Yes, @ErmesT nature is everywhere! thank you, there are many places in Sri Lanka with a similar climate and hope I will visit them and upload many beautiful photos to Google Maps
Hey @IlankovanT , the place is amazing . The views & drone shots you covered in your videos those put different level of beauty in it. Thanks for sharing.
@IlankovanT this is quite an interesting place to visit. It’s the tyoe of places that pique my curiosity. Yes, it looks very foggy. What’s the visibility like? It looks like a mountainous area too.
Muduslima looks like a top destination in Nigeria known as Obudun Mountain.
It’s always nice to read your Meet Up Recap, @IlankovanT
Inspiring.
And the scenery was amazing.
But I’m a little bit curious, was in Sri Lanka not so many Local Guides that could join your Meet Up? You’ve quite often doing the Meet Up in small group. Just curious.
You Recap is so beautiful! You are sharing your love to Mother Nature such amazing way! Amazing photos and fantastic video! I love the music you have chosen to it, very relaxing. Mountains ranges in your photo look breathtaking!
And with each your new post I want to visit you country more and more!
I’m curious about leeches… is it only in this area? due to high humidity?
Thank you for mention me, I think I should to see it with my own eyes one day
