Hello dear friends Local guides! How are you?
This time I want to speak about a very fun virtual Meet-Up that happened last Sunday and in which 18 Spanish-speaking local guides participated.
The meet-up topic was to play online a version of the well-known Pictionary game, in which a word is assigned to one of the participants and, only through sketching, he must achieve that at least one of the other participants guess the word. This time, I adapted the game to use words related to the Local Guides program, which made it more interesting for the Local Guides community.
Once we were all online, each one introduced themself telling his name and country of origin and their level in the Local Guides program. The ones that participated were: Alejandra from Spain; Alexandre from Brazil; Berenice and Ricardo from Mexico; Stephanie from Uruguay; Marcos from Perú; and Abraham, Adrián, Carolina, Daiana, Jesica, Juan, Juan Ignacio, María Eugenia, Sebastián, Silvina, Valeria and I from Argentina (I’m tagging them in the comments, for not exceeding the limit of people to tag in this message).
Many of us had already met some of the other participants in face-to-face or virtual meet-ups previously, or for having participated in Connect Live 2019, and others showed their excitement to finally meet the face of some Local Guides that they had never seen before, but to whom they had talked to a lot of times here, at Connect. Some of them even commented that this was their first meet-up because of there haven’t been many meet-ups in Spanish before.
Once everyone had been introduced, we finally started the online game. We played for two full hours and laughed a lot doing our best to show off our “great skills” with drawing, or showing great creativity in imagining the words that came from the “beautiful” drawings of the others.
At the end, @ValeriaA , @Daiulich and @Jesi became our great winners, showing a great ability and imagination guessing the words that arose each time. Congratulations girls!
I want to thank everyone that had participated in the meet-up and I hope you all had spend a great time as I did!
Before ending, I want to invite you to appreciate the beautiful pieces of art that resulted from the game, and I challenge you to join us in a new game. Yes! A new game right here… in the comments!
Do you dare to guess the word behind each one of these pictures? You can write it in your own language! After guessing, you can also vote for your favorite drawing! Next May 1st, I will reveal in this post the person who has guessed more words, and the best artist!
Do you want to participate in a meet-up like this? Please let me know as I am thinking about hosting another one in english very soon!
