The Local Guides knowledge sharing session is conducted successfully at Al Falah School, Pernambut. The Local Guides of Vellore Local Guides community along with the people who are unaware of Local Guides concept participated in the session. The Local Guides and participants introduce themselves to each other.I planned to conduct the session in two languages, Tamil ad Urdu (similar to hindi so that throughout India, people could understand). As a community moderator to Vellore Local Guides community, i started the session with the use of the presentation which i recently received after becoming unofficial Google supported community. The class is initially taken in Tamil Language in considering the tamil people participated in the session.
Then the class is taken in Urdu Language for the other half of the participants. I started with the brief introduction of Local Guides and continued with different topics.
The benefits being a Local Guide, the type of contributing, the importance of attending and hosting a meet up, the different levels and its respective points, about Local Guides Connect, making list of places, sharing locations, checking facts, etc. are covered during the session.
Woohoo! This is SO awesome!!! Did you conduct 2 sessions back-to-back? It is absolutely important for Local Guides to understand the program and the ways to contribute effectively, and you are incredible for taking lead to share the information with members in your community.
I conducted back to back sessions for two groups in two languages since local guides from other states requested me to upload video in Internet so that they can watch it from there location itself.

I am happy that you liked the session… I got this idea of conducting this session when i first came to know that many local guides of my community personally asked me about the types and methods of contribution and importance of meet ups… Then i consulted with my fellow local guides in our Vellore Local Guides community about conducting a knowledge sharing session… After getting their opinion about conducting this session… I decided a date, time and place in considering the other local guides availability… I specifically called over phone to some enthusiastic local guides in my community and told them to share this news with their friends… Since i hosted two local guides meet ups before, i get to know the enthusiastic local guides in my community… I tried my level best in covering the necessary things that one local guides should know during the session… We took the video throughout the session… The video is then uploaded in youtube for the benefits of other local guides… If you are planning to conduct this like session, I request you to first gather your close friends and explain them about the local guides concept… Take a video while you explaining them and share that video to all your friends… That would help you in increasing number of attendees in upcoming sessions… Hope you get some idea…
