I am glad that I’m able to join the Google Local Meetup in August 2023. This was the first time meetup with local guides! Though I started Google Mapping in 2006. I am very happy to join my first Meetup.

Time: 10:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Location: Waterfall Garden Cafe & Restaurant, Dhaka, Bangladesh
Attendees: 60 local guides from Dhaka
The event started with a welcome speech from the organizer and a round of introductions. Everyone shared their names, where they were from, their Level, and how long they had been Local Guides.
After the introductions, the group enjoyed a delicious lunch at Waterfall Garden Cafe & Restaurant. They ate dishes including fried chicken & rice, and vegetables.
After lunch, the group split into smaller groups to discuss their experiences as Local Guides. They talked about the challenges and rewards of contributing to Google Maps and shared tips and tricks for taking great photos and writing helpful reviews.
The event ended with a closing speech from the organizer, and everyone exchanged contact information so they could stay in touch.
The Local Guides Experience Sharing & Get Together Aug 2023 was a great opportunity for local guides from Dhaka to connect with each other and share their experiences. It was also a chance for them to learn from each other and improve their skills as Local Guides.
We finish our meet-up around 2 p.m.
