On Sunday 5th of April Ania @AniaKiser and I co-hosted a meetup for LG Who Love Street Art, over time Ania and I have shared quite a bit of Street Art here on Connect and the thought came, why not show it to people and see what they’ve got to share over a virtual meet-up.
Along with the co hosts Ania from Poland and Paul from Melbourne, the attendees were
Ravindu - Sri Lanka
Jesi - Beuonos Aires
Saiful - Bangledesh
Christophe - Lausanne, Switzerland
Jane - Ukraine
Govinda - India
Wil - China
Kasuun - Sri Lanka
We had a special treat with Kasuun and Ravindu as they had been involved in some beautification projects where the city had created large street murals to encourage.
We ran well over our schedule which suggests that people were enjoying the content and being able to share some of their favourite pieces from around the world.
From my perspective it was really interesting to see the similarities between the art with its cultural differences and local histories and politics represented within the graphic art.
@PaulPavlinovich , @AniaKiser , it was a very entertaining meetup. Thank both of you for coming up with this great idea. We had a wonderful time seeing. discussing and trying to interpret the meaning of street arts from various parts of the world. I hope we could do this again sometime.
I would like to thank @PaulPavlinovich one more time for this idea. I had a great time sharing and admiring street art from all over the World.
I want to thank you all for participation in this MeetUp. You made my day! I’m ready for “part 2” if you are interested I’ve got plenty more photos to share with you.
@ravindus and @kasunaaa I love your work and murals in Sri Lanka are very impressive! I didn’t expect your country to be so “graffiti friendly”.
@Jesi , @JaneBurunina Thank you for your presentation! Great you joined us.
@willsonleecn Next time you need to show me your discoveries in SF.
@christophesubilia I’m happy you were a part of my “street art exploring time” in SF i SJ and you shared Banksy works during MeetUp.

Thank you @PaulPavlinovich and @AniaKiser for holding this wonderful virtual meetup. This is such a great chance of seeing street arts around the world. They’re very beautiful. I didn’t realize I have so many photos about them before I prepared for the meetup. And this is my first time attending a virtual meetup. It means a lot to me. Though I can’t go anywhere I want because of the coronavirus situation, I was travelling with you guys around the world virtually. It’s a great experience!
@willsonleecn Thank you so much for your kind words, it was my first virtual MeetUp, too! I’m looking forward to more occasions like this to see you again I love street art you shared with us.
