Today I will share with you all my last Meet-up RECAP which was Let’s Support Small Businesses-P6 held on 16,July,2021 at Barishal Islamia College, Barishal.

The year 2020 will be unforgettable for all of us, a year spent in a lot of misery. Due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19 again in 2021, the people of Bangladesh were locked down for more than 15 days in April. Although somewhat relaxed, there was a lockdown from July 1 to 14 due to an increase in the incidence of COVID-19. The religious festival of Eid-ul-Azha has been relaxed from July 15 to July 22 and the lockdown has been announced from July 23 to August 5.

The global epidemic of COVID-19 has caused massive damage to small businesses around the world, which is by no means predictable and not easy to recover. It will take a long time for them to make up for this loss.

To alleviate this huge loss of small business, we have contributed between two Education Institutions of Barishal Islamia College and Mahmudia Madrasa on numerous Grocery, Clothing, Restaurant, Tailor, Pharmacy, Cosmetics, Salon etc shops.

One by one we all appeared in front of Barishal Islamia College in time and from here our meetup activities began. We start the contribution here and reach Mahmudia Madrasa on foot. A lot of the shops around it weren’t added to Google Maps. We’ve contributed to those places.

In this Meet-up we have 11 new places we added on Google Maps. We updated information as contact number & open-close times of many places and we have added 28 recent photos of different businesses and written 4 reviews on Google Maps.

We went out to make small business contributions but we also kept an open eye on accessibility and updated there. Whenever I leave home for a meetup and go anywhere I always try to update the accessible places in that area on Google Maps. I love working with Accessibility 
as a local guide and I think this is my responsibilities to do something for disable.

Every moment of the meetup was very enjoyable for us. After a long time, we all came together, made many contributions, talked to everyone and discussed how to make small business more prosperous. The last point of the meetup was a very happy moment for us, we went to a small restaurant for a little bit Support and bought some Khichuri from there and Takeaway. Kirtankhola River was very close to our venue. We went to the river bank and we ate Khichuri there with lots of fun.
