As the participation and agenda of this collaboration [RECAP] Lets Guide Surabaya Collaboration
This collaboration aims to provide education to the nation’s youth movers who are obliged to know that the digital power, especially social media can have a positive impact on the environment and surrounding communities. The main platforms that can be utilized are Local Guides, Google Maps, Youtube and Instagram. I initiated this event because I think that when Local Guides often perform various forms of collaboration by sharing platforms, in the future it will feel the impact of the environment and its social impact. Especially to help tourism and local business that is growing in Surabaya.
So, on this day I was assigned to accompany group 11 to do Photowalk at Bank Indonesia Library Museum.
The iconic library of Surabaya City is currently managed by Bank Indonesia. It occupies a magnificent and well preserved colonial building (formerly the Mpu Tantular Museum). It is said that in the early 20th century, this is the best house in Surabaya. About 60% of its collection focuses on monetary, financial, banking. But there are also books of social knowledge and popular books. There is a comfortable and bright reading room for children. There are 18 smart PC to access e-library & international journal in Monetary and Banking Economics. Next to it is a cafe made with the concept of open space cafe.
This place is suitable to be utilized for all circles, because the location is very strategic and in front there Jalesveva Jayamahe Park and Surabaya Zoo.
The task of the local guides is to explain to the group how to contribute to Google Maps which can be used to promote local tourism. Hopefully the place that has been visited in the future can be quite crowded visitors. And can give a social impact business to the community.
