Recap: Let's celebrate WAD(world Accessibility Day

Good day everyone, Here I am posting my meetup experience of 3rd December United Nations’ International Day of persons with Disabilities. Sometimes I feel that we should convert our weakness into our strength so we can face the challenges very easily. On evening of 3rd December our program started sharp at 5:00 PM IST I started the meetup with Sanskrit shloka of Goddess Saraswati and Gayatri mantra

After the prayer concluded we introduced ourselves with each other. Specially abled Children were very happy to see their faces on screen and everyone was greeting them and we did a little chit chat so the children feel comfortable and in a zone to interact. I would like to tell thank all entire LG community to adding such a beautiful photos on the map because of these photos I am able to take them on this wonderful virtual tour during my meetup as well classes.

1: Our virtual tour was The Statue of Unity which is the wonder of India and the tallest statue on the planet. Here also I took help of photos and reviews . I also explained the overview of this place with children

2: On the meet up day I took them to the Taj Mahal. One of the most famous wonder of the world and shared my knowledge about this monument and with the help of uploaded 360 degree photos on the map.

Our next session was Quiz: We started with the Quiz .It was a simple quiz I prepared presentation of fruits, animals, flowers and festivals children have to identify the photos but I was surprised with the answers as they replied with all correct answers and also tryed to give their names in English also.

On the same day LG Gurupriya ma’ams birthday so everyone was wishing her and children sang the birthday song in Hindi which goes as “bar bar din ye aye ……………….” she is an art and craft teacher she taught them how to make easy butterfly with paper. Here I would like to share story of Krishna (Blind person)

Last year we held a meet up at the blind school and we teach them how to use mobile phone. taught them about accessibility feature to 85 students. Krishna was one of them and he loved to learn about technology he started using Google assistant and calling us including @Nareshbhai and Rajubhai. Now he has started his YouTube channel. I wish he would be next our LG Our dear Kashifbhai and Steve Bhai nicely explain about our community and Kashifbhai requested to them about use of Google maps. I have share gift with children one writing pad and notebook.

Vote of thanks:- It was a virtually pleasant time as we got to see how differently able children also like to explore the world and learn about things which are not common for them to learn upon. It was a wonderful experience to see the kids enjoy the world in a 360 degree view and also to learn how well they picked up on basic items in the quiz. Another wonderful thing was how the kids were picking up things in a short period of time and using the different features of Google product. It was a great experience which I have shared with all of you. Hope you all enjoy the experience I had with these Gifted children of GOD himself.
