Hello Local Guides all around the world ,
Like there are these pop up connect live events in many of the places in the world , we Hyderabad local guides are fortunate to have one this year in Hyderabad, on AUG 10. Since there is a very huge community and only few got the invite , we did a meetup a week before the event in Lamakkan the Cultural hub of city to discussion the feature requests and feedback and then share it with the team in the event .
It is difficult to commute in the city during rainy season , Initially around 30 people RSVP ed but not all could make it because of the rains , i would like to thanks the people who actually made to the meetup even though it was raining continuously from the morning , i admire your passion to the community and the program .
I reached the meetup spot by 4 and first to come was @AslamMo , like always . He is been a consistent local guide since more than 3 years now . We went in to find a place to sit and discuss , mean while came Kalyan . This is his first meetup and he was excited . Then came in chandra kanth , sunil , venkatesh, manoj and jadda , and snehal . we had a cat that also joined the meetup .
Snehal was the surprise guest here , she is a googler and local guides ,national level competition winner conducted by Google and is the first googler who actually made it to any of the previous 32 meetups in Hyderabad , she was one among the very few women Local guides who attended the meetup , she is a inspiration for more women to step up and start contributing , because their perspective of contributions matters the most .
We all sat in the top floor and had a good intro of one another , discussion on how each of us got into the local guide program , shared few feedback and feature requests .
I shared the local guide badges and stickers with the local guides , we were all excited about the connect live Hyderabad .
over all it was one among the best meetups where we actually sat in to have a very good and productive discussion , every one was so inspiring , they were so passionate about the program ans well unserstood of the outcomes of quality contributions , i feel proud to be a part of such beautiful community , looking forward to meet all the invitees of connect live Hyderabad on Aug 10 .
