Hello Local Guides. Have a great day. We are very pleased to announce that on 7/11/2019 we were able to complete our Meetup at Britannia University Comilla, Bangladesh. Those who have participated in our meet up are students of the final year of Computer Science and Engineering at Britannia University.

The program was inaugurated by Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Britannia.

Local Guide Bangla three admins, me Mohammed Omar Faruque @OmarBD , Shafiul Bashar @ShafiulB , and Kamal Hasnainee @Kamalhasnainee discuss about Google Maps, Google Local Guides and Google Connect Forum. Those who were here listened to our words very carefully and many of them have asked the questions, We trying to answer those questions correctly. There were only two people involved with the Google Local Guide. We have tried our best to convince them why the local guide is needed in our country.

One of the things we emphasize the reviews on the map should not be trivial, Do not steal someone’s picture and give it to yourself in Google Maps, Do not add unnecessary places to Google Maps,How to write reviews in 200 words, How to add images of different places to Google Maps, There was nothing left with the Local Guide that we didn’t discuss with them. I want to thank the Google Local Guide moderators who allowed us to do arrange this program, And thanks also to the University Administrative Team who gave us the opportunity to do this program. Greetings to all the students of the last year of Computer Science and Engineering who participated in this program. From the Local Guide Bangla, we want to say one thing that we can do more and more in the future and inspire us.

Special thanks to Shafiul Bashar @ShafiulB , and Kamal Hasnainee @Kamalhasnainee brother for coming to Dhaka and attending to the event.

@OmarBD Thanks for host this big event and write this wonderful Recap.

I am so glad to be a part of the event. Their students were very interested in Google maps contributions. I had a session there and proud to be honored as a speaker there in front of all CSE students.

We have many plans about making awarness to spam-free Maps and accessible maps. I hope we will arrange a series of this kind of Meet up in Bangladesh.
