No other city in Pakistan challenges your taste buds like Karachi and thanks to @KashifMisidia for allowing me a chance to cover one of the top food street in Karachi.
Hussainabad is the place which offers countless variety of food (yes, countless) be it starters, main course choices or deserts and each of the item has it’s own unique taste.
Well staying away from food review this walk was mainly focused on street food coverage so here is the first look of the busy street through my lense.
The aroma of charcoal and BBQ on the grill is something which attracted first.
Katakat, made on flat pan, cooked in butter, the tuck tuck sound will surely attract your attention from far.
A paratha with tea is a deadly combo and it’s mainly linked with Pathan’s and their dhabaas made these to the level of perfection.
Best thing about this food street is that the majority of food (almost 95%) is prepared live in front of you which gives a chance to inspect the quality whilst you order and at the same time can have your food made in your style.
Bun kabad is delicacy of Pakistani food and mainly sold through food carts throughout the city.
After having such spice rich food, variety of cooling down drinks, juices and cold deserts such as famous ice cream cone of Hussainabad is also there to speed up the metabolism process.
Guess what’s next, it’s something without which your dinning out is incomplete when in Karachi, “Pan” which has it’s own history attached to the subcontinent and most recently the ingredients are separated from the leaves and are being sold separately in small jars as well.
There is nothing fancy about this food streets, it would be just you and the food when you are at Hussainabad.
Hope you’ve enjoyed the run, here is a brief video of the walk which will surely attract you to the spot after watching.
Thanks for joining the ride and do leave a comment as a feedback.
