After my last meetup (Photo walk) I thought to do a Map Editing Meetup in Kalutara because it has been one year after last map editing meetup in Kalutara area. New places, updated contact details and add new photos are mainly focused trough this meetup. Several local guides marked as they will participate and three participants were attended.
We met at our meeting point around 10 am and participants was @Amilamadushan, @NiroshaJ and Sameera (New localguide) Once all participants came, we started our map editing from Kalutara Temple which most popular temple in this town as well as in the country.
Then we walked towards Kalutara city and started our map editing. We added new places, added new photos, updated addresses, updated contact details and correct location pin on map.
While on this meetup, we explained business owners about this program and google maps.
They interested to program and some of them verified their business with our guidance. Their comment was this kind of meetups are more important when we explain how and what are the benefits of this.
We updated map listings more than 20+ places and added several new places. Many new photos added to map listings.

Well, need to plan next meetup and encourage all to host a map editing meetup to make your area map helpful to all users.
