Jethawana monastery in the world heritage city of Anuradhapura.Sri Lanka.it was the world largest brick stupa in the world and not also that 3rd tallest stretcher in the world fallowed by pyramids in Giza.when was built by King mahasena 12 th century.
This was small interdiction of the place that i have done my meetup.This is a first meet up that was organized by me."Jethawanaramaya stupa photo walk"As a Anuradhapura local guide,I decided to organize a meetup around this archaeological places,Buddhist temples and ruins,because there are lots of people from around the world visit to the see this places.so we can captured the places and add missing places to Google maps.After discussing with my friends @Seedra @Mickey_825.KH we scheduled the date and time.17.o6.2018 at 9 a.m and our meeting place was Sri maha bodhi entrance car park. After i published a post on this meet up in Local guide Connect.
On that day was a Sunday little bit crowded in the morning but as we planned @Seedra was there and she was waiting for me,and we waiting for other attendees.There wasn’t other attendees so we star the Photo walk.
First @Seedra and my self staring to take pictures in stupa area,we taken beautiful pictures at that time.and we sharing our historical knowledge each other.at that time we met a Nepali monkAnd the monk also joined with us.He also really enjoyed to participate this photo walk.and we as well as explain about the Google maps and Google Local Guide program.after taking the stupa photo we were going to the Jethawanaramaya garden.To your information this Jethawana stupa was temple complex those days. The sites that have been excavated and reconstructed are - Jethawana dagaba,Gedige, Panchawasarama,Assembly hall,Alms hall,Uposatha ghara,Stone railings,Image house and the ponds.
After taking our stupa pictures we walked to the Jetavana Gedige garden.and we take small break,because we both didn’t had our breakfast so i prepared our breakfast "milk rice with chili past"
After had our breakfast we visit to the Jethawanarama museum.at the museum we get huge knowledge of the history. Museum staff helped us and they are direct us to where we have to go next and next.so special thanks for all the members in Jethawana museum.
End of the meet up of our photo walk we walk to the get few pictures of ponds.we was fed up because of dry heat and we walked lot,so me and @Seedra take a little break and we upload pictures to Google map and discus our meet up and planing to next meet up.
