Yesterday was a great day for Iran Local Guides community, We had an amazing meetup after months and this was an opportunity meet old friends and find new friends.
We planned to have a tutoring meetup. So have a discussion desk with presentation. This meetup held in partnership of Hamava in Zavie Coworking Space. Also Panoramic View team captured and prepared holding services of this meetup and other companies contains Heidari Steel, Ronik Map, 360Nama and Fattahi Science Mag sponsored us kindly and helped to have a better meetup. Also Black Burger helped us for catering services.
After gathering together, I started with general discussion about how to contribute on Google Maps as a Local Guides. In this presentation we learned to do our bests in each part of participation from adding photos and adding dish tags to editing most accurately. As we planned this was main focus of our meetup.
Then we had break time and even in this part we discussed about mapping and photography by some attendees. Check out more photos here.
After that, photography presentation started by @SamanS and he expressed why and how we should share photos on Google Maps.
We had great topics full of questions and answers and these all was full of fun and learning for us.
Finally after finishing presentations and Q&As, we take photo and each of us went to home with having this in mind to contribute accurately and to do our bests for Iran Local Guides community.
@Amiran I am very much looking forward to following this thread. I have an interest in Iranian pottery. From what I understand the color blue was first used in ancient pottery. Is it true?
Yes, Iranian pottery is a wide field and you can find many kinds of pottery in Iran from ancient to now. But unfortunately I’m not sure about first use of the color blue, I’ll try to ask from one expert and will share the result with you. This is also something good to know for me.
Hi @Amiran . Thank you for sharing. Congratulations on the great initiative and successful meet-up. I’m always happy to see enthusiasm. Have you planned your next meet-up?
Surely we’ll have less attendees because Mashhad is not the capital but this will be opportunity to meet some other good and active LG users of Iran who’re contributing from Mashhad.
