Apart from conducting activities based on google maps, Bangladesh Local Guide also conducts various social activities every year in view certain specific occasions. This type of activities has been going on continuously for the last few years with the financial support of the local guide members. It is to be mentioned hers that, During corona pandemic BDLG initiated some various type activities for the support to society. For the last couple of years, with the cooperation and supervision of a social organization Blessing for Human Foundation , especially on the occasion of Ramadan and Eid, Iftar is distributed and Eid groceries are distributed among the poor and needy.
Eid-ul-Fitr is a very important festival of the Muslims. However, due to financial constraints of the underprivileged, Eid is not full of joy to them. So to share the joy of Eid and alleviate the hardships of the holy month of Ramadan, Bangladesh Local Guide takes this initiative to distribute Eid groceries items among the underprivileged.
Keeping the holy occasion of Eid ahead and corona pandemic, we, Bangladesh Local Guide and Blessing for Human Foundation team, made an attempt to make this festival a little more delightful for the poor people and aspired to mitigate their sufferings by distributing grocery bags among them. Where we successfully distributed around 400 grocery bags containing fundamental grocery items amidst the dwellers of Dhamalkot Adarsha High School near to Dhamalkot Slum. The gratified look on their faces and their unparalleled smiles are what made us forget all the hardship of the day and rather invigorated us to keep on working for their cause, their bliss.
We hope the social Activities will be continued in future with more effective manner. The Bangladesh local guide members are willing to work in any disaster situation like corona pandemic.
