[RECAP] Indonesia Virtual Meet-Up - Opportunities thru Traveling

By combining, both; Google Meet and YouTube, and with less than 2 days of preparation, on Friday, April 1st 2020 for about 3 hours, we (Indonesia’ Local Guides) have managed and successfully held our 2nd virtual meet-up. As a newbie on this forum, it was my first experience organising such virtual meet-up together with my fellow Indonesia’ Local Guides community.

We gathered from various cities, and countries. Yes, countries !!! Even though the official language we use was Bahasa Indonesia, but we were glad to have several Local Guides friends from Netherland, India, Pakistan, USA, and Thailand, joining the virtual meet-up. Hopefully we are not confusing you guys

Meet-Up Recap:

@worldlifetravel a.k.a. Bima Prasena and I, was happy to meet new Local Guides friends, and also excited to shares our thought and experiences regarding to the traveling we have did in some of our projects. As well as on how; we as Local Guides, could benefit from this marvellous community, in order to shape the travelling plan, ideas and opportunities. Not only as a hobby, but on how to gain financial benefits from travelling.

Yes, it is a challenging period for all of us, but in other way, this time would also be the best time for us to do some research and homework, to help us crafting the most appropriate strategy for travelling and be out-standing in delivering our travelling stories, thru photographs, videos (short footage, video blog) and written materials (blog, articles).

There is also other article; Social Distancing : Shifting Meet-up from real-life to virtual, a very well written story by @BudiFXW , whom also have greatly guiding and motivated all of the meet-up attendees, to become more keen to help our community growth thru contributing to Google Maps and Local Guides Connect.
