As someone who is still relatively new to the Local Guides journey, hosting my second meetup has been a very special experience. I’m incredibly grateful for the encouragement, guidance, and support I’ve received from fellow Guides, especially Kashif whose mentorship has given me so much confidence to keep learning and contributing.
I’m also very proud of the wonderful team and everyone who came together to make the meetup meaningful. Seeing people connect, share experiences, learn new things, and support one another reminded me of what makes this community so special.
And yes, I would absolutely love to see more women joining us! There are so many talented and enthusiastic women whose perspectives can add something truly valuable to the Local Guides community. I hope our activities encourage more women to step forward, explore, contribute, and share their voices.

The rooftop setting made the gathering even more special, but what really stood out was the opportunity to hear from the female bikers and learn about their experiences. Their passion and determination were genuinely inspiring, and I hope their stories encourage more women to explore, travel, and share their journeys with confidence.
The practical tips shared by Kashif and DrFoodieOfficial were another highlight. Features like Offline Maps, Group Location Sharing, and Gemini for itinerary planning can be incredibly useful when exploring new places, and it was wonderful to see technology being discussed in such a practical way.
I’m grateful to have been part of this meetup and to contribute to a community that brings people together through travel, technology, storytelling, and shared experiences.

And your memory is absolutely right! The logo you noticed is connected to last year’s Iftar gathering, which was hosted by Khurram bhai with his biker friends’ group. It’s amazing how a small detail like a logo can bring back memories of previous community gatherings!

Co-hosting this World Tourism Day meetup with The Cross Route Motorcycle and Travelers’ Club was a very special experience for me. I learned so much from the entire process, and having your guidance and support made a huge difference. Your willingness to share practical Google Maps knowledge and make the session useful for everyone was one of the highlights of the meetup.
I’m especially grateful that you encouraged me to step forward and take on the role of host. As a relatively new Local Guide, having someone believe in you can give you the confidence to try something new.
