On last weekend, we held a photowalk meetup to celebrate 10 years of local guides and campaign for our biggest meetup event to be attended by a total of 200 top local guides contributors around the country called Meet Up Nusantara #4.
In this photowalk meetup, nearly 30 participants who were dominated by new faces gathered to experience the first local guides meetup, they were very enthusiast.
It started with us gathering around the river dock inside the park, getting acquainted and chatting with each other and buying some street snacks while waiting to board the kalimas boat tour, one of the most fun water tours for Surabaya citizens. After that we boarded and traveled around the river for 15 minutes feeling the citylight and life along the river that twinkled added to the beauty of the scenery.
After getting on the boat, we walked about 800 meters to the most iconic street in Surabaya called Jalan Tunjungan which is also one of the legendary song titles in Indonesia.
We wandered around feeling the crowd, seeing cultural heritage buildings and relics of the past, feeling the vibe of the people, taking pictures and enjoying food and gathering to share about how to contribute to being local guides.
It was a lot of fun, that’s how I felt at the event, I hope you feel it too, see you at another exciting meetup.
