Together, we made our way into the metro station. We were all impressed by how clean and beautiful the station was, truly full of all modern facilities! We easily purchased our tickets from the ticket vending machine.
What really caught our eye were the pictures on the walls of the station that gave a glimpse of the splendor and heritage of Gujarat, attracting everyone’s attention and adding to the station’s charm. cultural heritage.
Then, we hopped aboard the metro, and it was a wonderful experience to ride the metro and enjoy a unique city tour from its windows. The journey was smooth and offered great views of Gandhinagar.
More than just enjoying the ride, we actively used this opportunity to make a difference on Google Maps. We collectively updated the facilities available at the metro station on Google Maps, adding crucial information such as wheelchair accessibility and tactile paths for visually impaired individuals. This hands-on contribution ensures that the information is accurate and helpful for everyone navigating the metro system.
It was a truly engaging and productive meet-up, thanks to the enthusiasm and participation of everyone involved. I’m already looking forward to our next adventure!

I completely agree with your observations about the Infocity Metro Station – its cleanliness, modern facilities, and the beautiful cultural heritage displays really made an impression. It was also great to see the ease of purchasing tickets from the vending machine.
The metro ride itself was fantastic, offering a unique perspective of the city. This hands-on contribution truly makes a difference for the wider community.
Looking forward to the next adventure with the Local Guides community!

It’s amazing to see how your Gandhinagar Metro Exploration wasn’t just about enjoying a clean and modern transit system, but also about giving back through meaningful contributions to Google Maps.
Hello sir, @NareshDarji
Thanks so much for organizing this fantastic Gandhinagar Metro Exploration Meet-up!
It’s truly inspiring to see Local Guides actively contributing to improving Google Maps, especially for new and important infrastructure like the metro.
The focus on capturing detailed photos, updating station information, and checking accessibility is crucial, and your efforts will undoubtedly benefit countless commuters and visitors. These are exactly the kind of contributions that make Google Maps so valuable.
I hope to see more meet-ups like this in the future!
Apart from a Mumbai local train, I have not travelled in any other local train anywhere so far!
When I was in Baroda, my childhood friends would meet me, and they would say, “Hey brother, one day you will travel in a bullet train.”
And now look at our Honorable Prime Minister who started India’s first mini bullet train in my home state (GZB-UP).
Although I have not traveled in a mini bullet train yet I have only checked the accessibility and availability at the bullet train stations.
Now after reading your recap, I am also planning to explore and travel on a bullet train.
Anyway thank you very much for sharing your beautiful moments will never be forgotten.
You are looking very cool @NareshDarji in this post Thanks for sharing this newly constructed Metro station. Keep going keep adding moments with local guides and friends.
Absolutely loved being part of this vibrant meet-up @NareshDarji !
The Gandhinagar Metro stations beautifully showcase Gujarat’s rich vibrant culture through stunning wall art, and the cleanliness is truly commendable.
A special shout-out to the thoughtful accessibility features: from tactile paths for the visually impaired to dedicated wheelchair spaces in the metro coaches. It’s heartening to see such inclusive infrastructure in place.
@NareshDarji what a productive meet-up! Exploring the Gandhinagar Metro isn’t just about the cool ride and clean stations; it’s awesome that you all Local Guides @Aravindchaudhari, @KetanChhaniyara, @Djbhavin28, @MonilSuthar, and @Harshilpatel actively updated wheelchair accessibility and tactile paths on Google Maps. That’s real, tangible impact for everyone using the system.
