Recap: [In-Person] Bangladesh, May 09, Let's Meet @ Coffee Festival

We recently held [ May 9,2025 ] our 261st meet-up under the banner of Bangladesh Local Guides, centered around the vibrant and aromatic Dhaka Coffee Festival 2025 at ICCB (International Convention City Bashundhara). The meet-up brought together 24 passionate local guides from different parts of the city who gathered to explore, learn, and connect over a shared love for coffee and community.

Highlights of the Meet-up:

• We began by visiting the various stalls of the coffee fair, which showcased a wide range of coffee machines from both local and international brands, along with packaged coffee of diverse flavors and refreshing ice drinks.
• Local guides engaged with exhibitors, collected useful information, and captured moments that could help enrich the content on Google Maps and reviews for future coffee lovers in the area.
• The team capped off the fair experience by trying a new cold coffee flavor at the Nescafe stall, which was a crowd favorite. As a sweet surprise, mini packets of this flavor were purchased and gifted to all participants.

Roundtable Discussion:

After touring the festival, we moved to the second floor of the festival hall to hold a productive roundtable meeting. Local guides openly shared challenges and ideas related to Google Maps contributions, especially issues that need more attention in our local context.

A key highlight was a focused discussion on planning this year’s Mega Meet-up, and several decisions were made based on group consensus.

This is my first event after joining the Bangladesh Local Guides platform. It was a very enjoyable experience and the senior members of Local Guides are very cooperative and helpful people.
