Hyderabad Zoo not only is one of the largest Zoo’s in india but also has a Toy train to explore the vast area, Safari busses to watch wild animals in open and a recently opened Butterfly park which is a walking trail with flowers planted on either sides which attract specific species of butterflies!
We started off at the entrance at the Toy train station, a mini train takes a 15 minute tour covering the length and breadth of the zoo where you can see all the Tigers, Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Deers and a lot of reptiles! It bring back the nostalgia from your childhood and all the good old memories.
After getting off the toy train we started off on foot and to the first stop all Hyderabad Zoo visitors since the Zoo opened in 1963, to see the now 110 year old Tortoise who has been witness to the evolution of the city and the Zoo
Apart from all the exotic and native wild animals of india, i loved to see the newly opened Butterfly park, which is a wonderfully curated walking trail with flowers planed which attract specific types of butterflies, something no visitor to the zoo should miss.
We walked past the Safari trail entrance which is one of the unique things of Hyderabad Zoo, you can get a real Safari experience observing wild animals in the open inside the safety of a buss.
Our next stop was one of my favourite parts of the Zoo i.e. the birds section, i love watching the flamingos with their long pink legs and broad peaks
Time flew by and after few hours of exploring, we wrapped up a fun day. Please do not forget to see the photo album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/LT4xgsHM8MyhRmz89
