[Recap] Hyderabad Photo Walk {Accessibility}

Accessibility + Photo Walk + Monument Walk + Food Crawl = Hyderabad Local Guides Meet-up

This was my 3rd meetup as a host. Here are my first and second: Hyderabad Map Edit Walk Worldwide & Hyderabad Geo Walk Worldwide

Accessibility information is very useful when it comes to physically challenged persons. This information decides the places to visit (or helps in making a To-do list) for the disables). So, we decided to host a meet here in Hyderabad and join the hands for Accessibility. On the meetup day, it was a very pleasant morning and perfect for a meet-up. We the local guides of Hyderabad move from our homes towards the meetup venue keeping in mind that “Do Something Good Today”. And we met near Mecca Masjid, Charminar (char means ‘four’, minar means ‘minarets’)

By 03:30PM we were total 6 in number and decided to start the walk after introduction and walk plan. Most of the attendees had their first meet - @SyedAfzal , Nayim and @ArpanRay . Arpan came all the way from ECIL (15 miles from Charminar)

Walk plan:-

  1. Climb Charminar (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and take lots of photos
  2. Explore Laad Bazar
  3. Explore the markets nearby
  4. End the walk by reassembling at Mecca Masjid
  5. Check for accessibility all along

By this time Abdul Shoeb has joined us.

Take a look from the top of Charminar.

Here are the markets around Charminar.

Here are some interesting things: architecture, artistic works, designs, and patterns

Mecca Masjid has a wheelchair accessibility entrance

After this adorable walk, we decided to do some food crawl. Some of us left as they have some work and others carried on.

Now, we moved to Flechazo Restaurant. Started with starters, then main course and finally desserts.

Starting with starters Fish, Prawns, Chicken :chicken: Shawarma and :chicken: Tandoor. Main course includes Fish :flags: Curry, Prawns Curry, Meat curry, Chicken :chicken: Tandoori, Veg curries, Biryani, Butter Naan, Roti, Salad :green_salad:, pickles and many more. The curries and all the food items are well kept and served. They allow the customers to make their own pizza :pizza:. Chat, Pani Puri, Bread :bread: Chicken, Sushi :sushi: (Japanese Famous Fish :flags: item), and other small delights were delicious. The preparation of Ice-cream by adding liquid nitrogen to it is very interesting.

Thanks to Uzair for choosing the perfect spot for Food Crawl.

It was a great pleasure mapping with you all, Thanks for spending your precious time for improving accessibility in our city.

Here is a clip showing the best moments of our walk:-

@OSAMA You sure are right, @FazeelUsmani had a quad-tastic meet-up. How I wish I could have attended. Having a serious case of FOMO (fear or missing out) right now with all these amazing meet-ups!

What a dynamic guy is @FazeelUsmani . I like your post too much.

The pictures you exposed are elegants. Videos are also soooo nice. I am sure @OSAMA is suffering from appetite today after seeing these food items though some names like pani puri, biryani etc. are not recognizable to him.

Thank you so for organizing multiple events simultaneous and exhibiting them in many in one post.

Keep it up bro.

Thanks @TraciC for loving it. You’re always welcome here in Hyderabad. Hope you join us in the upcoming meet-ups.

All the credit goes to @HelloSamsonR , who encouraged me to host a meet-up in Hyderabad as part of Worldwide Map Edit Walk. After hosting my first meet, I felt like I’m at the top of the world and gained huge confidence. Thanks for @OSAMA too for encouraging me to host the second worldwide meet in Hyderabad.

Local Guides of Hyderabad told me that they like me and my meet-up ideas, plans and spot.

Here is an interesting conversation on the next day of this meet-up I got a phone call from Mekala Paul, a level 5 local guide from Khammam (200kms from Hyderabad). He came all the way from Khammam to Hyderabad to attend the meet. At morning 08:00AM he reached Hyderabad, unlucky he got a call from his home location stating an urgent work. So, he went back home. He was feeling upset that he couldn’t attend the meet. Then I made him to understand that this was not my last meet, there are many amazing meets in future.

Me: Don’t worry you’re welcome for the upcoming meet’s

Paul: I will definitely attend the upcoming meet-ups.

Me: You’re always welcome, bro

Paul: I’m feeling better after talking to you, Fazeel…

End of Conversation

It was a great pleasure working with you all (Hyderabad Local Guides)

Cheers,

Fazeel Usmani

Hello @FazeelUsmani

What a fantastic presentation of an excellent multi-faceted outing. Superb how you were all checking for accessibility functional features in every place you went to. Wonderful pictures and videos that show you have a great group participating and make a really cool adventure of your Hyderabad Photo Walk.

Everywhere you show us is very interesting and displays the unique culture of Hyderabad. The magnificent architecture as well as the fabulous colours in the delicious array of food on your food crawl section. Such fantastic photography and terrific narrative every step of the way.

You have given us a really interesting informative, descriptive presentation. The videos are outstanding as well. All in all it looks like you all had a really fun interesting time, and finished it in a spectacular restaurant with lots of delightful food choices. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

Cheers

Best wishes

Hi @FazeelUsmani . I’ve gone ahead and unaccepted my post as the solution as your post doesn’t require an answer. Here’s a helpful post of when to accept a post as a solution.
