It was a lovely meetup with Rati, the owner of Rati_Decor. She is very professional in conducting the meetup and very knowledgeable of what she is projecting.
Three (3) basic questions for Rati:
What gave you the idea to start the business?
Rati: “I was pregnant then, and I wanted to make some money without going out of the house. I googled work from home job, and one of the choices was being a florist”.
Me: So, being a florist is one of your dreams, and you have the talent for doing this stuff.
Rati: “No, not at all. I have no clue what to do. I just learned from Googling how to do it. I got better along the way, learning from my mistakes”.
Me: Whether you realized it or not, Rati, you do have talent!
How helpful was Google Maps in supporting your business?
Rati: “Google Maps played a big role in my business; the location of my business can be found easily. Also, it helps when clients give me an address to a location I have never been to before. Through Google, I can see photos of the hall to determine how big the flower arrangement should be, a short, medium, or tall one. Info like this will also be very beneficial to help the bride make her decision”.
What messages do you have for women entrepreneurs?
Rati: “My advice to all women entrepreneurs out there is to not be afraid if you have a dream; pursue your dream, learn about it, study it, Google it. Please do not hesitate to make it a reality. We, as women, are strong individuals”.
Questions from one of the attendees, @RosyKohli, “Where did you get the products from?” “It is from China, Alibaba,” said Rati.
Our live interview ended with showing the attendees her store. Rati explained what she had and, prices of her items. She likes what she is doing because she can re-rent her products many times; it is not like fresh flowers, used once time, and it’s going bad in a couple day, the price is also more expensive. Rosy mentioned that “in India artificial flowers is more expensive”.
I added her business in Google Maps, Rati_Decor is inside another business, Dollar Mart Pharmacy.
Accessibility: side parking has a ramp for wheelchair, the door is flat to the floor. A sign said, “No public bathroom”.
One of the photos that I stole from her FB page said a whole lot about Rati.
