Dear Local Guides Community,
We had yet another successful hybrid meetup in New Delhi, this time in a quite and lesser known museum, the National Crafts Museum and Hastakala Academy.
We started the in person meet-up at 11 am and were joined by @ShreyaMusings @Nomad_Enkay @Gvipin @Hemendu @Manishhh @Rajan
We had a great time exploring this unique museum and covered the following topics :
- Explored a diverse collection of Indian traditional crafts from across the country including tribal arts and rare art forms
- Observed skill artisans demonstrating unique painting skills like Madhubani painting
- Textile and weaving : Explored a wide variety of indigenous textiles including intricate weaving, embroidery and traditional garments
- Rural complex / village setting : Enjoyed beautiful and unique architectural layout of traditional Indian villages including some of the most remote villages of India
- Explored a vibrant souvenir shop inside the museum perfect for purchasing handmade items
- Discussed about the preparations for our upcoming Mega Meet-up happening on 29th June in Delhi.
- We had a quick discussion on the recently concluded TRAC campaign, and explained the benefits of adding roads to the participants
- Conducted a brief virtual Meet-up and shared about the history and details of this museum. The virtual Meet-up was attended by @AjitThite @TravellerG @Kumaarsantosh @ShailendraOjha @Gurukrishnapriya @K.K.Sharma @MathanVibranarayan
- Once the meet-up was over we explored a nearby shop selling beverages to beat the heat. We discussed about the ongoing challenges/series happening on the Connect Platform currently and how to participate on all of them
