Hi Everyone,
This is my recap on the recent meetup which I hosted in Bengaluru. This meetup is a map editing meetup conducted with respect to the Worldwide Hospital Edit Meetup initiated by @Sagir Bhai from Nigeria. This meetup was conducted on 24th February 2019 between 9AM and 11AM at ShivajiNagar. The meetup was initially scheduled for afternoon 3PM-5PM but due to some unavoidable reason, I had to shift the meetup time to morning by making an announcement about the updated timing on the meetup. I reached the meetup location a little late due to getting struck in traffic. Many Local Guides were interested in joining the meetup but were not able to join the meetup and I hope I will be able to meet them in any of the upcoming meetups.
Quick highlight of the meetup- I visited Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital during the meetup.
I started the meetup by having a great team at ShivajiNagar. Savera Tea is famous in Bengaluru and I mostly have it whenever I cross nearby.
The crowd in ShivajiNagar was quite less in the morning and was the right time for the meetup. I walked through the streets searching for any clinics, medical laboratories and hospitals.I was able to find many medical center on the way.
Few were not present in the Google Maps and few were not having the photos in the Google Maps. I took photos from the outside and uploaded to Google on the way. I was able to reach Browning Hospital located in ShivajiNagar during the meetup. I took some photos from the outside and then went inside. The Hospital seems well maintained inside the compound. The medical center and the emergency block were present and I took some photos.
I then continued the meetup and visited few more streets and when I was able to find few diagnostic centers and clinics.
I decided to end the meetup and I felt little hungrier so I visited a shop on my way return where I had Cheese Maggi (In Bengaluru, many bakeries will serve Maggi mostly at breakfast time). It was a great time in the Meetup even I was alone since I was able to do some little contributions by myself. I thank Sagir Bhai for this great initiative. I extend my thanks to all the Local Guides and the Local Guides Team for all the support and encouragement. Happy Guiding! ?
