As I guessed, due to pandemic and heavy rain from the afternoon no one joined me in this meet-up to help the small business in my area- Kazipara, Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. So, when the rain stopped, for the time being, I started my meet-up.
[Inside view of some shops]
As per my plan I selected 3 types of business to visit and work for them. Later, I will check the information of other types of business in my area. My selected business types where:
- Grocery
- Restaurants/ Food shops and
- Pharmacy
I asked all the business owners some common questions as below:
- Present opening and closing hour
- Present status of their business
- How much they are aware of the COVID-19
- Their future business plan to survive in their trade world
- Do they know about Google Maps and their business existence in the Google Maps
Most of them are maintaining the government declared business hour and they are trying to maintain the health measure to keep them safe from the virus. I was very much happy to see that most of them were wearing masks properly while they were inside the shops. All of them were similarly worried about the future of their business. A few of them know about Google Maps and their shop’s existence in it. I show them their shops in Google Maps that made them very happy.

Due to the heavy rain, most of the shops were closed. So, I met those shop owners who were open and gave me some time to talk. I worked with the below shops:
- Bismillah Enterprise ( I crossed check the facts of this shop with the shop keeper and found all OK)
- Shohag General Store ( I have added the phone number which was missing in the maps data)
- New Jyoti Pharmacy ( I crossed check the facts of this shop with the shop keeper and found all OK)
- Rosher Fota Sweets And Bakery ( I crossed check the facts of this shop with the shop keeper and found all OK)
- RFL Best Buy (I added this place today and it was approved. I will add some information tomorrow)
- Jewel Hotel (The owner was busy to talk to me but promised to talk later).
- Kazi Hotel and Restaurant (I have updated the business hour)
I ended my meet-up by entertaining myself at Kazi Hotel and Restaurant with the hot and spicy Haleem and Naan . I was scared while I took off my mask inside this restaurant to eat foods and left immediately after completing the foods. You can see this meet-up album here.

I must give so many special thanks to @TravellerG Sir whose initiative: Unity Walk (for India) has tremendously inspired me to conduct this meet-up today. I was also inspired by the recap of @RosyKohli . I planned my schedule from her recap. So, thanks go to her also. I was worried when my meet-up application was pending for approval. Then I got the approval mail and inspiring comments from @KlaudiyaG . Thanks to her as well. And finally, @SaifIS , who encouraged me a lot to go ahead with this meet-up, ALONE.
