[Recap] Happy boy tour 🇦🇹🇭🇺🇷🇸🇧🇦🇭🇷🇸🇮

We did make a fantastic trip!

As I have to work in an other place in Germany during the week, the time with my children is always valuable.

What we discovered within 8 days was unforgettable for us. If you like have a look on the post including 6 countries + Germany within 8 days.

I‘m „proud“ because I learned via a post of a Google Moderator how to create a google photo story. If you like, have a look.

https://photos.app.goo.gl/YGbMLwwjd22y7V4u8

What was most impressive:

:austria: - Always friendly people in a nice country.

:hungary: - Can there be bigger food portions in a restaurant?

:serbia: - Nightlife on the Danube in Serbia??? Yes!!!

:bosnia_herzegovina: - Is it possible to have such a beautiful country in Europe?! How beautiful is this country and how great is Muslim hospitality as well in Europe!

:croatia: - Adria is so beautiful

:slovenia:- Ljubljana is worth a trip for sure. So many bicycles :bike:, election power station for cars!

Before I really start with the uploads, here he can see what I already have done… :camera::camera::camera:

The picture I‘m most proud about is the one from Mostar in :bosnia_herzegovina:

What I did teach my children:

Respect and tolerance towards other nations and religions is the key for peace :v:.

What do I regret: That I didn’t eat much more and now anyway need to start a diet…

Great photos as usual, @TorM ! The photo book is a nice way to share photos as stories, it’s a shame that we can’t create those in Argentina yet, but at least we can see them. There are so many beautiful landscapes and food that looks really tasty. You sure did a lot of things in 8 days, seemed like you had a great time

Thank you for sharing this with us, and for mentioning me!

Wow, this post is wonderful @TorM

You was able to get a real great concentrate of Europe, in your photo album. I love the picture of the bridge in Mostar, and the light portions of food

Don’t worry about Italy, we will meet in Krakow soon, and in november keep a free weekend for the wine meet-up, if you want to spend a couple of days in Treviso.

Why you cannot make a photo album in Argentina @Jesi ? It is just a function of Google Photo, but the result is great, it is a kind of blog

Thank you for sharing, Torben. Great post

@ErmesT I can make a photo album, but not a photo book. I can access the photo books website, and it suggests books to do based on my albums, but I can’t create any. It shows a sign that says this: Photo books are not currently available in this region (Argentina). I guess it’s a somewhat new function and isn’t available in other South American countries either…

This is different, @Jesi , and you can make it directly with Google Photos, like in this one by @KarenVChin : My San Francisco: Being a Local Guide to Another Local Guide

@ErmesT Oh, okay! I just found out how. I had never edited an album as I thought there wasn’t much to do so I had no idea, but adding text and locations is really useful and it ends up looking great as I can see by @TorM 's and @KarenVChin 's posts. Thank you very much for helping, Ermes!

Hey @TorM ,

This is a great Recap, thanks for posting.

I read through it while drinking my morning coffee.

@TorM , we call these “road trips” here in the States. It can be all girls, all boys, or what you did, parent and child(ren). The best part of all, no matter who you are with, you are having and making memories that will last a lifetime! Your Google Photos travelogue felt like I was part of your Summer adventure with your sons.

Don’t give you up on the wives and daughters they can travel “lightly” and do “car camping.”

All your food photos have made me hungry now! Thanks!!

Cheers,

Karen

@Jesi , it’s cool to write a travel or food blog using Google Photos. The link can then be used anywhere, including your social media channels.

Happy Creating!

Cheers,

Karen

I am totally impresed by the way you have used Google Maps, Google Photos … You learn really quick

Are you sure you didn´t eat enough ? :joy:

It´s scary just to see the jumps at the bridge in Mostar, I would not jump either !!!

Great values you taught to your kids.

Congratulations for the post, I really enjoy the one at Google Photos (:sun_with_face::sun_with_face::sun_with_face::sun_with_face::sun_with_face:)

Thank you all for your feedback. I‘m happy that you enjoyed the post.

From technical point I‘m really „proud“ that via @KarenVChin and @ErmesT I did learn in the post Ermest is referring to, the function of the photo book with text! But as well the list creator is something I haven’t been aware before joining connect. This is really a nice option @Jesi !

@AntonellaGr , the cats was indeed especially for you , due to the cat day in this week.

@AlejandraMaria : :upside_down_face:, how you do know about my food habits…

@helga19 : can’t wait to discover with you nice places in Kraków.

@GeorgesHR : In fact I missed during the trip only American/ German way of coffee :coffee:

Hahaha, I learned this from @KarenVChin , so I am giving credit where credit is due, @TorM , and I loved this way of managing photos, so now I am use it in most of my post. I didn’t shared the post too, because, due to the dust, is not visible to everyone, but I will be happy to do it when the dust will move down

Wow, @TorM , this is the recap I’ve been waiting for!

I really enjoyed not only your amazing photos and informative (and quite funny!) comments, but also the sense of freedom your story brings. Going on trips without planning every single detail is definitely more meaningful and gives you more in terms of experience than carefully planned ones, in my opinion.

By the way, I’ve added the Travel and Photography labels to your post so that people can find it more easily.

Hi @TorM ,

Congratulations for the recap and the photo book! You pictures are so well taken.

It has been great to read it and it seems you had a very pleasent time with your boy!

You and your son will have some many good souvenirs together! Sleeping in the car will last forever ;-).

It reminds me some souvenirs back twenty years ago when we were in UK and slept in the car in Brighton with my wife and some friends !

Thanks for making this recap and sharing it with us!

See you around

This is so cool @TorM ! I am now curious to know: what did your boys said afterwards, like when they came back home, which stories did they share with your wife and daughter?

Thank you @Marichams

They still tell a lot about the trip and it is already one year ago. I think I can never summarize it. Most important for me, that they saw different cultures and religions and know that all this belongs to the world and Europe. Of course all places related to water they did like most and the beach in Croatia was quite important.
