[RECAP] Finding the Accessibility at Town Hall area in Mymensingh

My first Accessibility :wheelchair: meet-up for celebrating the 5th Birthday of Connect Forum!

Although this is my first Accessibility meet-up hosted by me but I have attended few meet-ups for accessibility work in different places. My first meet-up that I was attend in San Francisco and it was hosted by @EmekaUlor ; and the 2nd and 3rd meet-ups was in Mymensingh and Dhaka respectively, hosted by @Mohammadalauddin for the both. I have learned many things from them and other Local Guides doing accessibility work in different places in the world.

I’m trying to find the accessible places in Mymensingh and add them on Google Maps; it is a part of #AccessibleMymensingh banner. During this event I have visited few places around the Town Hall areas.

The Visited places:

  1. Central Shaheed Minar, Mymensingh
  2. Oshit Memorial Athletes Club
  3. Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute, Mymensingh
  4. The hostel for the Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute, Mymensingh
  5. Shilpakola Bhavan, Government Laboratory High School
  6. The Footpath around the Town Hall

Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute, Mymensingh:

This is a training Institute for the Higher Secondary School Teachers in Mymensingh. This institute is fully accessible to all including wheelchair :wheelchair: user, a ramp is visible and also have parking place.

Hostel for the Higher Secondary Teachers Training Institute, Mymensingh:

This is a hostel for the Higher Secondary School Teachers in Mymensingh. This hostel is fully accessible to all including wheelchair :wheelchair: user, a ramp is visible and also have parking place.

The Central Shaheed Minar, Mymensingh:

This Shahid Minar is a popular place in the city and a symbol of our pride for our Bengali Language. The monument is not fully accessible, no ramp on it. However, the access way to the monument is accessible to all including wheelchair user.

Oshit Memorial Athletes Club:

This a Athletes Club in Mymensingh, this place was missing on Google Maps and I have added this POI on Google Maps. This club is fully accessible to all including wheelchair user, a ramp is visible.

Shilpakola Bhavan, Government Laboratory High School:

This is a classroom for arts student, Government Laboratory High School. This place is fully accessible to all including wheelchair user, a ramp is visible.

Accessible Walkways: There many walkways have accessible facilities for the wheelchair users.
